Doncha just luv people who bitch about the judicial system, its abuse, and ridiculous awards for spilled coffee and such trivia, but then go and say “but in this case I hope he/she sues and wins big!”. And then wonder why so many cases are “in this case” for enough people to get to where we are!

Back in Michigan after 12 years in NYC -— I was always aware of what I was crossing over and upon. Accidents are quick and can change your life in an instant. We were always around the 2nd ave construction......what a mess -— the amazing thing is the very few accidents -— can you imagine this same construction somewhere, in some country w barely any safety codes!? For NYC -— a city w such a large population and non-stop movement — I haven’t heard much about 2nd ave subway construction accidents.
Bet they didn’t count on 300 plus lbs standing on that slab.
