Did I not just tell you the hollow was naturally devoid of trees?
The persistent shade of the ridges makes it hard for me to even grow ornamental trees or shrubbery.
So far, the willows I planted are the only things that have survived more than a few years.
There’s just not enough sun here.
The pond was a pre-existent bog fed by an underground spring that was simply dammed up to increase its depth.
It was not “dug out”.
It’s a fact that cutting old growth wood clears the way for newer, healthier trees.
Straw men arguments really annoy me and you cannot deny that the current massive human encroachment on the oh-so-fragile glades is not having a severely deleterious effect on them.

Can’t recall the name.
They used dogs.
It was a pretty good show but a few episodes was enough.
