Alternate headline: “Unctuous man finds true calling.” I felt sorry for him when I saw this last night, partly because he doesn’t look well — that suit and tie seem too big — and partly because, whatever you think of him, it’s too bad to see the office reduced to a form of super-celebrity. (Although in fairness, thanks to The One, we’re well down that path already.) I’m not sure why he did it. Did his pal Spielberg talk him into it to goose pre-Oscar buzz for “Lincoln,” because the two of them inexplicably still need more personal validation at this point in their careers? Or did he just want to stare out at a room of A-list liberals applauding rapturously for him? I almost wish they had Jack Nicholson walk out there with him to exchange some inane comic banter, just two randy ol’ alpha males of Hollywood royalty sending a thrill through the crowd by their mere presence. Bleh.
It’s nice to know at least that Obama has a career track ahead of him after 2016. Exit question: Is there more than meets the eye to this bit of stuntcasting? The sonorous blather about compromise is a nice talking point for Democrats ahead of the debt-ceiling standoff, even as they categorically refuse to compromise on meaningful spending cuts and entitlement reform.

So Bill Clinton shows up for Hollyweird’s Golden Showers....so typical....the moth and the flame.....emblematic of the narcissism of our age. The newly minted father of the year recipient whooping it up with Hollywood phonies. What a pathetic spectacle. The deparvity of our culture where a disbarred philanderer is the subject of so much adulation. I wonder what Dr. Lewinsky thought when he found out Clinton was named father of the year. Imagine the ruckus the Feminazis would have made if a REPUBLICAN president was caught getting serviced in the Oral Office with a nineteen year old government intern snuggled underneath his desk. The corruption and depravity of this nation is beyond and disgust. Washington and Hollyweird are mirror images of eachother where massive egos, narcissistic adulation and self promotion intersect, and all sembleance of probity and decorum are mocked. And people like Bill Clinton who beat the rap are given high fives and kudos when they make a mockery of justice. And then you have enablers such as Hillary who turns blind eye to her husband’s pathetic and disgraceful philandering so that she can advance her own career so that Bonnie and Clod can return to the White House. And Clinton....the father of the year.....a man who crammed a cigar up the private parts of a nineteen year old delivering pizza to the Oral Office....how low have we sunk???? What low lifes in this country....who defile our institutions....have no restraint....what disgusting perverts. It is all a sham. The Democrats revel in such vile behavior.
Billy C. was not the only one in the audience who looked
terrible. Denzel Washington and Stallone did not appear to be aging well. I saw Clinton’s joshing appearance, and will not click to watch it again. Be aware that as bad as he looked, and as bad as he was, and is, his diehard fans see that as the heroic price people like him have to pay to bring a little progressivism to the office of the President.
Did anyone happen to see Julianne, when she accepted her award, end it with, ‘And a shout out to Tina Fey and Katie

I don’t understand why everyone thinks he looks terrible. He looked pretty good to me. And as to why he was there? Well the nomination was for a former President.
He is a bad guy for sure but please make your criticisms about his character, not his looks.
This Obama/Lincoln thing is really starting to get annoying.
