For the past week or so, seems to me that no news network, including Fox, has said anything about anything other than 1) gun control, 2) the fake flu epidemic and 3) the mind-numbing doubletalk about the debt ceiling.
IMHO, talking heads on Fox (I don't watch the others other than flipping past but they also only had the same three stories) seem very concerned, noticeably more than usual.
Usually after a few days we get on to a "new" news cycle, but this one does not seem to be ending.
And when it does, it just seems like it's just not even worth listening. Even for the how bad it has been in the past few years, coverage seems to have sunk to a new low in the past week. I haven't even watched Fox much at all.
Maybe it is just the “new normal”.
If you are still paying for cable or satellite, you’re part of the problem. Your money is going to fund it. And don’t even pretend fox news is any different. It’s owner is openly contemptuous of our gun rights and his big hitter, that clown oreilly, is just as bad on guns.
If you’re still paying them...any of them, you have no right to complain.
The past couple of times I watched Greta it seemed she was moving in the direction of Nancy Grace

Very good chance this is all a bunch of noise and chatter being laid down by the Dems to cover for a new wave of borrowing and spending.
They’re definitely in a rut and when they get like this, I just stop watching.
Why don’t they would start actually investigating and reporting what’s going on with the out of control spending and where it’s taking us, rather than covering it like it’s a soap opera.
Fox is just as Liberal as the other news channels. You get the same push for Illegal Alien Amnesty, attack on Obama Eligibility people, and “GOP needs to go liberal to get Hispanic votes”. Fox will feign indignation over Obama now and then
I have blocked out all of the news stations (CNN, MSNBC, CNBC and FOX). I get all the news I need here on FR.
Television news is the problem. Why sit and watch what they want to present, in the depth and order they wish to present it? You can watch TV for an hour and not get the information a 30 second internet headline scan can bring you. With TV you will get the shockingly uninformed opinions of a lot of mindless, blowhard newsreaders. No thanks. Pass.
Very good description of FOX News. They aren’t fooling me any more. Still DVR Greta, but that’s it. And when she has on Lindsey or McCain or Trump, which is much too often, we just FFwd.
If you think the Flu is fake, you haven’t met anybody who’s had it. It’s a bad flu going around right now.
Yes....I figured out Fox News was liberal when they started pushing McCain Kennedy Illegal Alien Amnesty bill a few years ago. And, Rupert Murdoch has a history of being liberal as far back as when he was still in Australia....

I don’t know, I had surgery over the summer and the news was more painful than the recovery. All of the news services did they same story all day long, shuffling off one set of faces for another every hour.

They had me fooled for a while, and there are quite a few here who have not yet caught on.
Journalism is the business of crying Wolf! for fun and profit. Always has been, to a large extent - but it got worse with the advent of the telegraph and the news service in the middle of the Nineteenth Century. That is the origin of the monolithic MSM. Of course TV exacerbated the problem, but it was the wire service (the AP, basically, tho any other wire service would have the same incentives and would function the same way ultimately) which unified journalism around journalisms natural interest in crying Wolf!"
