A GIANT crocodile's head has been found washed up on a beach with locals speculating it was the victim of a massive shark attack.
Brigitte Cary-Smith, 50, and husband Neale, 56, discovered the huge decapitated head while walking their dogs on the beach in St Lucia, South Africa. See the photos, video here
The gruesome scene was photographed and videoed and has quickly become an internet hit, with people wondering how the animal met its end. See the photos, video here
It's not certain how the croc met its gruesome end but local experts believe it was attacked by a great white shark.

'On the side here in the flesh you can see the shark teeth.
'Its quite normal for sharks to swim here in the sea at St Lucia and its also very normal for very large sharks to be very close to the shore.'
The couple, who live nearby and walk their dogs on the beach every morning at sunrise, say the cleanly severed head points to a great white.
And they say poachers are not the suspects as the head and jaw are thought of as the most valuable part of the three metre-long animal.

“We’re going to need a bigger boat.”
I don’t know if it was a ‘great white’, but (according to the video) the presence of the TEETH of a SHARK imbedded around the area where it is severed seems pretty good evidence.
Was probably already dead of old age by the time the shark(s) got to it.
Suicide by shark?
There is a video of the shark attacking the crocodile:
A handful of orcas were playing around a little ways off shore, which, I'm guessing, explained what happened to the rest of the body....
Jeez that guy has a tiny hand :)
Looks like the one that got Chubb’s hand.
Certainly a good possibility.
