I saw something today that upset and deeply disturbed me. I was walking past my son's bedroom, where he spends all his time on his computer playing those damn games of his. I stopped when I heard the sound of Wayne LaPierre's voice as he gave his speech about the Newtown massacre. I was surprised my son, who is just 14, was getting involved in anything political, but I was glad he was exposing himself to the right people. I opened the door, intending to tell him how proud I was, when the image on the screen stopped me cold. It was not, as I suspected, a video of Wayne LaPierre's speech, but was in fact a virtual recreation of the event, a video game. And in the game was a virtual Wayne LaPierre, standing at his podium, giving his speech... with a crosshair over his head. Before I could even utter a word to scold my child, he clicked his mouse. And the virtual Wayne LaPierre's face disappeared in a spray of blood.
I was horrified. I must have yelled at him for hours. I demanded to know where he got this game, and he showed me the thread on a website called "facepunch". You can see it for yourself here: http://facepunch.com/showthread.php?t=1239566&p=39218703
My son has since been banned from all video games and I had my computer-gifted daughter set up blocks on his machine so he can no longer access his game sites, at least for the time being.
The media in this country is out of control, and this is a perfect example. Movies and music and games have been getting more and more violent, and now we have game-people making threats against real leaders who speak out against this trend, and in defense of our right to bear arms. This needs to be held up as an example of what's wrong with our country, and what we need to change about our culture.
Now I'm a simple man. I love my God, my country, and my family. Heaven for me is a plate of mashed potatoes and a slice of corn-fed Iowa steak. I don't know much about computers and I don't usually involve myself in politics. This is my first time "posting" anything in fact; my daughter has been helping me write this. But seeing that horrible game brought something out in me. I don't know what, but something has to be done about this. This culture of violence corrupts our kids, and could very well cause the next Newtown. I'll be damned if I'm just gonna sit by and watch it happen.
The muse was upon me ;)
Time passes...
He’s dead, Jim.
I agree it does seem to be along time!

Remove the computor, children do not have a right to one.
Wait, you mean ol’ Pete isn’t a rootin’ tootin’ rock-ribbed salt of the earth bitter clinger like the rest of us pokes around here?
You mean he’s just a persona used to gin up some cheap internet buzz about a libtard video game?
O shirley not.
Alright, my first IBTZ.
Y’know, Smyrgly looks kind of like Ron Perlman.
We get to play with our food tonight!
Yea brethren, it may yet come to pass that the unknown one shall recievith the companionship of the fuzzy widdle Valkryes. But knowith this...and tremble.
It is not Valhalla, but fell Trollhenge that awaits.
And the Lord thy Mod may strikith him down, or stay his han in mercy. This Brothers, we cannot know.

I wish it would fight back a bit. It’s more fun when it wiggles.
n00bie not responding?
I know why!
He’s all played out from yelling at his kid “for hours.”
Lord knows, I can only yell at my kids for 15 - 20 minutes at the most.
You are going about it all wrong.
First, let kid do whatever.
Second: Blame inanimate object like video games or guns for behavior of child. Third: seek to place blame on self where it rightly belongs and find convenient scapegoat.
It works wonders for libs. They can scream all manner of trivialities and nonesense for years at a time.
It’s like catnip.

Simple minded man, is what I believe he meant. About as simple minded as the genius that wrote this comment on the site he linked:
like shiznit said, that’s the entire point of this. The political statement will put the NRA in a tight spot if this hits the media, they can’t argue against it because it’s everything they stand for. They’ll either be made out to be total hypocrites if they fight it, or complete lunatics if they stand by its side.
The brainiacs involved with this “game” understand the NRA & its members—ME—about as well as Oh Pee understands Conservatives.
If you need extra kitteh power, I’ve got a couple that are starting to suffer from cabin fever, and would like something warm & juicy & crunchable to gnaw on.
