Well, that video game your son found is tragic, and outrageous, to be sure. But I can't help but risk offending you by saying not involving yourself in politics is no virtue.
Politics, as they say, is certain to involve itself with you.
And I couldn't be more pleased with your very sane reaction to that outrageous "game," particularly that you understand that the game, its manufacturers and disseminators are also part of "the media."
“Politics, as they say, is certain to involve itself with you.”
One of my favorites: “You may not be interested in politics, but politics is interested in you.”
I’ve used it, but it has little effect on the low information/low interest voter. That type seems to read the [fertilzer] in the DBM a week before elections, believe Palin said she can see Russia from her porch, that Liawatha Warren is an indian, and that zer0 gives a damn about them — and vote accordingly.
“you understand that the game, its manufacturers and disseminators are also part of “the media.””
That game is extremely amateurish by modern standards. It is really not much more than a mod or skin applied over an existing, probably freely available game engine. So, I wouldn’t make the mistake of thinking that whoever made this game was an actual game studio or software company. It seems to be the work of a single person thrown together with stuff from the public domain.
