(VANITY) Know anyone with Obama buyer's remorse after the last election?

Posted on 01/15/2013 2:56:48 PM PST by eekitsagreek

I was curious if anyone here knows or has met someone who voted for Obama in the last election and now regrets it? Or, having voted for a third party due to not liking Romney (for whatever reason) and regrets that?

TOPICS: Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: banglist; buyersremorse
I did meet a person who admitted she was fooled into thinking that Romney was more extreme compared to Obama. She is now very worried about the next four years.

All I could tell her was that whatever happens, it will be her fault and the fault of many others like her for putting this idiot back in office.

Sadly all the liberals that I have day to day dealings with, mostly retired teachers and professors, still see no fault in Obama. Whatever happens they blame the Republicans for keeping Obama from doing whatever he wants, so no matter what it is never Obama’s fault!

One guy in the office is a socialist, but went high order before the election that all of us “right wing nuts” were off the reservation saying that Obama was a gun grabber, because “he'd never hinted at such actions”.

We of course told him he was a naive idiot then, and I took a few moments today to remind him what a naive idiot he is.

But does he regret voting for the Marxist? I don't think so, not one bit. He relishes putting us all in our place, not matter the sacrifices required.

You are too nice. I would have told her to go F off and die. Stupid people like this clown should not breath the same air I do after the next 4 years...

The Liberals will support Obama until they drop dead. I am sure that some of my co-workers are very unhappy with our payroll tax hike, but they would never show their aggravation to those of us who are visible Conservatives.

No.

I do know quite a few from his first election, but, this time, none.

It's too soon, I think. Or, maybe, it's too late.

Who knows? I'm just exhausted by the spectacle we're watching.

No. The few people I know that voted for Obama did so in both elections. Basically, they are in denial. Obama can do no wrong. It’s the Republicans that are preventing him from fixing things....something to that effect. These people are willfully ignorant and clueless, so I don’t discuss politics with them anymore. When I talk to them, it is usually a work-related matter or something more to their intellectual capacity such sports results or what movie I saw recently.

Colin Powell voted for zero twice and still calls himself a republican. In reality, I guess he is, by today’s measures.

I hope conservatives who stayed home feel the tax and gungrabbing hardest most painful.

Anybody who voted for Obama twice is either a delusional fool or a Vichy/quisling/collaborator/opportunist of the lowest sort. I believe that Colon Powell fits in that second category.

Obama is at 54% approval (among Likely Voters) in today’s Rasmussen poll. He’s about as popular as he’s been since the election. We conservatives know the damage Obama is doing to this nation, unfortunately America isn’t a conservative country anymore. The majority of the American public like Obama, and they WANT to keep liking him. People simply don’t want to hear negative things about their beloved Obama. Obama could eat a cute little baby on live TV and a majority of the public would find a reason (and the press would give them one) to blame Republicans. The far left base of the Democrat party knew what they were doing when they worked so hard to nominate Obama instead of Hillary (even though it was her turn).

Libtards are so misguided and their reality is so distorted that they think that their values are traditional American values, so they don’t feel remorse.

I hope whatever else they did that day - cleaned the cat box, scrubbed the Brita filter, divided the tulips - was worth the pain they’ve caused our Republic.

I still puke.

>Most are too self-righteous to ever own up to a mistake.<

.
I don’t think that any of them ever regretted voting for him.

One has to be totally depraved and anti-American to have voted for him the very first time around, especially when no one questioned his eligibility.

To have voted for him the second time ......

>Colin Powell voted for zero twice and still calls himself a republican.<

.
And the GOPhers still accept him as an upstanding republikan.

I have come to the point that I gleefully await the next phone call from the GOP asking for a monetary contribution.

I let the person complete his/her introductory speech while I sip my scotch. Then I give him/her an earful.

The absolute mindboggling gall the GOP continues to have!!

Just take one look at my screen name. I can only think of 2 in my family (married to each other) who are Conservative like myself. All my friends & family are hard core libs. It’s to the point some in my family refuse to talk to me. It’s infuriating, as I’m considered the extremist in their view. I’ve just taken the position to refuse to talk about politics. They, however, don’t feel it’s necessary to leave politics out of any conversation. I really wish I could find more like-minded people. Unfortunately, convincing my husband to move back home where I’m from, is proving unsuccessful. Damned Yankee.

...they blame the Republicans for keeping Obama from doing whatever he wants, so no matter what it is never Obama’s fault!...strange, since Obama's own party controlled the Senate for the entire four years of his administration, and both houses for half that time - plenty of opportunity for him to get passed whatever he wanted if he weren't so lazy, unfocused, and just plain incompetent.....

You hit the nail on the head. No, no not one Progressive ever will admit a mistake, they will just pass the blame off on someone else as being a “wrecker”, “obstructionist”, or “extremist” that ruined their brilliant plans.

Not really. Most liberals I know are now buying into the whole “everything wrong with this country is because of the TEA party” line. I suspect that the worse that things get, the more they’re going to hate republicans, conservatives, real Americans. At some point this is all going to come to a head.

Sorry - lost my head for a minute - but I do usually feel compelled to give some sort of answer back to such ignorance whenever I can - I know it will almost always be rejected outright upfront, but I keep hoping sometime, maybe in the early morning hours of doubt and discontent, something of what I said will come back and suddenly register and make sense to even the most oblivious lib - silly of me, but I keep trying......
