I think he asked Orpah on TV. God will forgive if he is sincere. I think he did get tired of lying, finally

He should be asking forgiveness from all the people he bulldozed for merely telling the truth.

Not in a million years! If he gave EVERY dime he made from the first race (including every cent he made in endorsements, speeches and other monies he received during that time) then MAYBE. But most likely not because I never liked him to begin with.

I agree. I read on another site that Lance Armstrong forced a clean cyclist, C. Bassons, to drop out of the sport. Also, there was something suspicious the way U.S. Attorney Andre Biroette top an investigation of Lance.

A little late for Lance to seek forgiveness, having sued those who claimed he doped.

Forgive him for what?

Hanging out with that old skank grunge rock singer? Old "one TP sheet"?

Naw, she is a miserable liberal and her "music" is execrable. He should have had better taste than that.

wrong question to ask.

do i think his apology is sincere? absolutely not. his only motive was to try to get his ban on sanctioned events lifted.

do i think they should lift his ban? never.

do i think he terrorized and intimidated those who called him on cheating? yes.

do i think he should pay fines/go to jail for perjury, or the lawsuits involving media groups that interviewed him and he made false statements and libel statements? yes.

just because someone apologizes, should they skate the consequences, especially after 18 years, and attempting to ruin those that were trying to expose the truth? absolutely not.

Freep a Poll! (Do you forgive Lance Armstrong?)

Not only no, but HELL NO!
Of course I do not single out this mickey-mouse "professional" sport. Same goes for thugball in all its forms.

An not just limited to "professional" sports.
Same goes for elected politicians.
The same goes for delusional entertainers.

Asking phony "forgiveness" a la 'The Bent One' Clinton, just makes one want to throw up; once a sleazeball, always a sleazeball. Just go the hell away and crawl under your rock, and spare us.

I agree. But as to facing criminal charges, there was what appeared to be a cover-up by U.S. Attorney Andre Birotte. Some of those who testified against Lance Armstrong were stunned.

Pro sports, including any “amateur” televised sports, is a tool to hypnotize the society. I can’t bring myself to find this even as important as American Idol.

The guy’s a piece of work, just like the promoters.

I voted “No” along with a lot of other folks.

If it were just the doping, I wouldn’t have been so harsh, as nearly everyone in sports does it, and it would take a superhuman to resist the pressure and temptation.

No, that wasn’t it at all. It was the phony “cancer talk”, the sanctimony, the hero-worship, the yellow armbands, the lies, the deception, the bullying of his fellow teammates, and the emotional blackmail that I resent.

I have to be more forgiving, I guess, but this really burns my toast.

It it is a curiosity that many people are far more offended by corruption in sports then they are by corruption in those who rule over them. The former costs those offended only if they bet on the outcome but the latter steals money from all of us, including our children.

Many people affect a cheap and easy nonchalance concerning political corruption, probably in the misplaced belief that they will appear sophisticated when they say, "they all do it." One cannot spend any time in New York without meeting this culture.

Why is it the business of the federal government that players took bribes in the Black Sox scandal? Government was at that time about to venture into prohibition and unleash massive corruption throughout the whole country. Today we tolerate a scale of corruption over drugs unimagined in the years after 1919. But no matter, the integrity of baseball was restored so that he could go on unimpeded for another generation practicing apartheid.

Why do we conduct highly visible public hearings about the private use of steroids by baseball players and then try them for lying to a body of Congress, a body which lies to us everyday?

Perhaps it is time to worry less about bread and circuses and more about what really matters.

Another irrelevant story. Keep in mind the genitally mutilated (transgender) freaks receive a lifetime of steroids to keep them happy.
