A cleaning woman stole an empty commuter train in a suburb of Stockholm and crashed it into a house, injuring herself, Swedish officials say.
The four-carriage train was driven out of the depot for about a mile until it jumped the tracks, becoming wedged into a three-storey building.
Police arrested a woman, who was flown to a Stockholm hospital with serious injuries. Nobody else was hurt.
A railway official confirmed the woman in custody was an employee.
"We have only heard good things about her," Tomas Hedenius, a spokesman for train operator Arriva, was quoted as saying by AP news agency.
"We're investigating how this could happen."

Thinking out of the box here and could be completely, utterly wrong, but my inclination is that the “cleaning lady” is a Muslim....
Either that or a drunk Swede. There are a few of those.
If Obama hears about this, he may issue an executive order to ban commuter trains.
Later that evening, the wife was overheard shouting at her husband, “I told you we shouldn’t put railroad tracks in our driveway!”
Maybe....but my money’s on “Muslim”....
I think I read that she was only 21. She could have just had an “I’ve always wanted to drive one of these” moment. Think about the teenage boy, works in the stockroom... he gets a chance to get into the warehouse, and there is a forklift sitting there, no one around... wants to try it out. Could just be a bad decision due to immaturity and curiousity.

There was a case of a young black kid, in New York, whose dream was to be subway operator. He managed to get a transit uniform and drive the subway unnoticed.
He did a great job, stopping at every stop and ensuring everybody got off and on the train.
He got away with doing it for at least half a day, or so.
Well, maybe...but again, experience tells me that if the name, description and ethnicity/race/religion isn’t mentioned, it’s not your traditional ‘citizen’....
Otherwise, it would have been Olga this or Helga that or Gertruude whatever....
That’s very possible. But fact that they’re saying so little about her (and she wasn’t a child or even a teenager) isn’t a good sign.
Ban cleaning women.

More of a boy thing, I am thinking. Most of us women don’t get such urges. Although, I have to admit that one of my fantasies is to drive in a demolition derby.
I have always wanted to drive a vehicle on railroad tracks ever since I saw the Flim Flam Man with George C. Scott!
