Admit it Darks, you only showed up for the Title.

I think I'd prefer the t-shirt to the bumPer sticker. ;-)

That was 2008. Ten of those have been laid off since then so only 4 missed work this time....

Actually, attendance was only half for this go-around at lip syncing the Oath of Office... So, of the original 14, 10 were laid off... but 2 were no-shows... leaving 2. Hmm, I wonder who they were? The number is more like 0... paid holiday for the dead, rabble-rousing, womanizing, mommunist, King.

Well, yeah.
The title and a ping brought me forth from whatever stygian depths I hide in.

I hear Stygia is nice this time of year.

Certainly a lot warmer than where I’m at right now.

Yes, and the wailing is particularly nice this time of year as well.
Need some stickers for bumbers though.

Now if only the guests would sit still so the stickers could be applied to the bumbers.

Wailing... I’d talk that over the sound of my joints freezing in place any day.

That latter sound is quite rough to listen to.

Yeah, we haven’t gotten below zero here yet.

Yet.
When it does there will be a wave of surprised people, vehicle problems, and idiocy.

Luckily, we only get the one week per year on average. Somewhere a week on either side of January 20th.

Last year was worse, this year... better.

Life in MN. This is it.

We can usually count on at least three or four fifteen below zero days here in late August as a prelude to winter.
Was wishing for it when OWS was in full swing.
Would have been glorious.
This year, the cold came in October and sorta lazily wandered.

Yup.
August ‘06, ‘07, ‘08, ‘09 the first below zero snap happened.
Past three years, we’ve had to wait a bit for the old freeze your butt.
