Typical MSNBC incompetent reporting! We have known for hundreds of years that these statues have bodies! Google Image Search for “Moai” and you'll see that most pictures show bodies. Most of the famous pictures show the statues fully upright by the shore.
The fact that they unburied some of the buried ones is now a great discovery? What pap!
