Great dogs. We've had two, MacGregor and MacBeth. They are very loyal, and as you say fearless and built like a tank. I don't know how many times we've seen large dogs lope into our yard only to be sent hurriedly on their way when a Scottie only one third their size comes charging at them. P.G. Wodehouse described them as having jaws like crocodiles.

Is it their fur or do they just pass wind like there is no tomorrow. We have a Boston Terrier that poots so much.. she once made the other dog throw up. Imagine that... a poot that can make a dog throw up?!

No mom, it isn’t flatulent, it seems to just come out of their pores. All dogs have a doggie odor, but Scotties just have a different odor and it is not pleasant. Washing doesn’t help either.
