Rabbits Wreaking Havoc On Cars At DIA(Denver Airport)
Denver CBS Local ^

Travelers have a warning for drivers who park their cars near Denver International Airport (DIA). Rabbits are chewing the wires under many cars costing owners a lot of money. The rabbits get in and chew the brake lines, the clutch lines and other wiring. Local car repair shops estimates they can do thousands of dollars in damage.

“When I had the trouble with the oil light coming on, the dealer told me the wires that controlled the air conditioning were chewed,” said Ken Blum, one car owner who knows all about the not so funny bunny business at DIA.

Blum has had to have repairs done on his car twice due to rabbit damage and he estimates the cost at approximately $700.

Somebody should put a recipe for Savory Rabbit Stew in the local newspaper and watch the Greenie and PETA heads explode. Of course you won’t be able to shoot them because guns aren’t allowed in Colorado but maybe you can do them in with a good dose of marijuana and that would be legal.

I recently learned about the soy problem, too, from a lady who had this happen to her Honda Fit.

The only bunny I want to see near my car is a Playboy bunny.

There's a long term parking lot at DIA called Wally Park.
They have a ad jingle that runs along the line ...
Wally Park, Wally Park, ohh Wally Wally Park ...
Occasionally park there if I'm going to be on an extended trip.
No rabbit problems so far.

Had a commercial fire alarm that kept going in trouble about the same time each day but only during the hot months.

Finally traced the problem to a multi foot section of wire that was stripped clean of insulation by a huge rat. (judging from the turds nearby)

The wires would get hot, droop and touch ground and then cool and release ground.

Great fun finding an intermittant ground-fault somewhere in 10’s of thousands of feet of wire.

One of my college girl-friends had a pet bunny that roamed free in her house. That is until it decided to chew through a lamp cord...

I have no idea what you are talking about, so here's a picture of a bunny with a Pantera on its head:

All I can say is, whatever you do, do not, I repeat NOT, place rat poison cube baits in crevices in the engine compartment, because wild rodents find them and eat them.

Which wouldn't be so bad if they had the decency to crawl of somewhere else to die...

Actually, if you should ever make that mistake, they will become very thirsty before they die and seek water, which is quite convenient.

In my experience, if you mistakenly leave bait pellets where wild rodents can get at them, they leave in search of water and you never see them again. Windsheild washer fluid does not seem to interest them, either.

Would have to be one Hell of a dose - it takes 240 joints to kill a human being.

Well maybe if you just give them a joint or two they’d jump right into the pot. Seems like a lot of Americans are doing it for a lot less.
