Forums Global Risks report for 2013, the Forum collaborated with the journal Nature and identified five X Factors, which they define as serious issues, grounded in the latest scientific findings, but somewhat remote from what are generally seen as more immediate concerns. These X Factors are: Runaway Climate Change, Significant Cognitive Enhancement, Rogue Deployment of Geoengineering, Costs of Living Longer, and the Discovery of Alien Life. As the Voice of Russia reports, experts from the Forum contend that given the pace of space exploration, it is increasingly conceivable that we may discover the existence of alien life or other planets that could support human life. In 10 years time we may have evidence not only that Earth is not unique but also that life exists elsewhere in the universe.
The Forum points out these X Factors to encourage global leaders to reflect on what countries or companies should be doing to anticipate them.
This isnt the first time an international economic forum has discussed extraterrestrial life. In January 2011, business leaders from around the world met at the 5th annual Global Competitiveness Forum where UFOs and extraterrestrial life were among the topics discussed. Experts presented information during a panel session titled Contact: Learning from Outer Space. The panel description read, Using knowledge gained from research in the fields of Ufology and the search for extraterrestrial life, what might we possibly learn about hindrances to innovation in other areas of inquiry?

The same people who believe in Global warming , believe in Space people. that says a lot.
Thing is, ETs are a possibility. AGW is a concocted fantasy/control method.
A lot of times, ETs are used as a symbol for unknown unknowns in a study. It is to add in a factor of complete chaos into the equation- something you can’t predict with certainty what it will be or its impact. It is like when you see a DOD study on an Alien Invasion or Zombies. If you can factor in the most outrageous situation where you can’t even guess at all the factors, you are better prepared for realistic events.
With economics, “ET” is a factor that would be difficult if not almost impossible to calculate the impact on the economic system.
And the Globalism Deniers are always calling Anti-Globalists “tin foil hat”....
Good grief. The globalist busybodies hope to run the universe now. The world is not enough for their overextended self importance, blood lust and greed.
Krugman is the fiscal “genius” who wants the government to fake an alien invasion so they can just take all the money they want.
My favorite is when they predict ET would cause all Christians to riot at the ‘proof’ that God didn’t exist.
How they possibly make a connection there I’ll never know. Seems to me an all powerful God does not have to restrict his’self to one planet of beings, nor tell anyone about his reasons to make any others. Or if he did.
Then again, same folks who invented AGW so what’s one more piece of ‘’wisdom’?
this would’ve been right up Quix’s alley.
Exactly. God created the entire universe, not just earth. In fact if we find bacteria or Vulcans makes no difference. To me it just adds to the greatness of God.
They have no idea that God could possibly exist. It's not possible, unless they can prove he/she/they/it is/are liberal.
Well, depending on the fine print in his mobile phone contract, ET could bankrupt our entire planet with one phone call home!
From the Offal Office, “tax the rich and ETs, they can afford to pay a little bit more:.
Agreed, but they didn’t account for the mad scientists from the planet Xenu......
Bingo!!! more than that, a total and complete seize of remaining power... holograms, sound effects and all. There are enough gullables to buy it...
don’t put it past them even for a moment...
This will be the greatest and final deception of all... either a fake alien invasion, a resurrection of a famous dead person, or an impersonation of Christ’s return. Not sure which yet.
Well, simplistically they usually point to “made man in his image” thing as being debunked by Intelligent ET. Which one could posit, who said all his creatures had to be made in his image. However unlikely, we could just be the most “special”!
Anywhooo; I of course agree with you two.
