Should an Indiana couple go to jail for saving Bambi?

That's the question surrounding the case of Jeff and Jennifer Counceller, who rescued an injured fawn and nursed it back to health at their Connersville, Ind., home. The couple now faces the possibility of jail time and fines after state officials charged them with a misdemeanor for harboring the animal.

...state officials charged them with a misdemeanor for harboring the animal.

State officials who can't find something more productive to do with their time need to be terminated.

Last week FOX News had an article about “Overcrimialzation” of society by government.

“There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.” - Ayn Rand

That’s an amazing story. Good stewardship of God’s beautiful creations trumps any law of men, anytime.

This exact thing happened to a close friend here in NC.

She found an abandoned fawn in a flower bed.
Took it home, fed it for a few days. Called Wildlife.

Wildlife came out to collect it. She asked what would become of the fawn.
The officer told her it would be euthanized.
She offered to take it to a rehab woman she knew. Nope.

She refused to turn over the fawn, He threatened her with jail. She called his supervisor.
The supervisor supposedly straightened out the situation and assured her the fawn would be raised. ( yeah /s)

She turned the fawn over to the officer and told him “next time you;l never hear about any fawn I find”

She has rehab licenses but not the one needed for deer.
And she’s in a position to run across them frequently.

This country is devouring its own by making innocent actions become “crimes.”

One conversation from Atlas Shrugged I always remember.

Shortened and paraphrased....

The government can't control innocent citizens , only criminals.
So the government criminalizes as much as possible to create them.
