Are we really surprised that this is what happens at Fox News? They are decidedly more pro-Illegal Alien than even liberal CNN. They mocked and ridiculed anything Obama Eligibility related. And, Bill O'Reilly just scored an interview with Bronco Bama.

This is not a Conservative network

You’ll find this study by George Mason University interesting. Although it is several years old it does have a good insight. While Fox isn’t Conservative, it does give the most down the middle coverage (in terms of time spent to each side).

This is not a Conservative network

There are a number of people that tend toward the liberal point of view, particularly during the day. But, there are some that tend toward the right also. So I guess they are closer to balanced than any of the other channels.
There is no conservative network. Even the conservative radio stations usually have one liberal on the staff.

Fox has never been conservative; they just didn’t hate America.

Besides, “fair and balanced” is really political correctness in practice.

Conservative would be “factual and true”.

Local radio has FN at the top and half hour. Every darn day its Obama speaking or some Democrat with rarely a Conservative voice to counter. Is that fair and balanced, not to me.

Yes Fox is different. It's 40% truth balanced with 60% outright lies.

Whereas the MSM is just outright lies.

It was an alternative for a while. Anymore it is just more of the same. Be willing to bet they made the mistake of hiring some ex-CNN, ex-NBC, etc editors and producers. Then the new hires turned around and started bringing in their old buddies from leftist newsrooms. Whenever you hire a leftist to lead a newsroom they will only hire leftist writers and graduates from leftist colleges, known fact.

If Fox could make more money by leaning left they would.

NewsCorp is about making money and I’ll bet Obama being president has brought them huge ratings so it wouldn’t really surprise me if they gave more to Obama campaign. That and if Obama won they wanted to have some access.

The only real difference when Fox News started was they reported straight news without bias.

A house burns down and Fox reports “a house burned down” while the others would report “a house burned down that was owned by a black woman...residents wonder if the delay in the fire truck was because they are racist.”

Fox’s sincere problem is they are missing a network. Two networks actually.

Headline News. And CNBC.

They have Fox, which matches CNN. But they have nothing like Headline News. And nothing like CNBC.

Headline News is a significant portion of what makes CNN what it is. If Fox were to roll out a Fox Headline News, along with something with live stock quotes during the days.

They would perhaps be onto something.

They don’t have those things yet.

So they’re not the major player yet.

FNC is definitely different, and to say it’s not is disingenuous.

It doesn’t seem like an accident that they only hire pro amnesty people. Maybe it’s a directive from the top.

It WAS different in the 90’s. But after bringing on liberal after liberal, they’ve been infleunced to the prevailing liberal view. The constantly pushed and schilled for both McCain and Romney. So I stopped watching. There’s no piece of news they can tell me that I haven’t already seen online anyway. I could care less about their “brilliant” commentary.

-——This is not a Conservative network-——

No one ever made that claim. The point was to be “Fair and balanced” and to present a conservative view totally lacking in the MSM.

There is really no “Conservative View” . If you pay attention on Free Republic you know with absolute certainty that there is almost no agreement on anything. There are varying shades of homogenity but seldom black and white.

There can be no conservative network for the simple reason it would be an economic failure. There would not be enough viewers to make it viable.

Roger Ailes realized this fact and crafted a network that is fantastically successful. Fox is the closest to a conservative network news organization that will ever be.

They never claimed to be anything other than fair and balanced. They still cover stories that would never appear in the other lamestream media, and the reporting (opinion programs aside) is much less slanted in either direction than the LSM.

Fox News Ratings Hit 12-year Low
Wednesday, January 30, 2013 09:49 PM

By: Matthew Auerbach

Fox News had its worst prime time ratings in January in the coveted 25-54 demographic since August 2001, a 12-year low, and its lowest total day ratings since June 2008, Politico reports.

The year started off badly for Fox’s “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren” in particular, which suffered its worst month ever among the 25-54 demo. January also saw the channel’s lowest total viewership in the 10 p.m. hour since July 2008.

The numbers weren’t all bad. Fox still had nine out of the top 10 shows for the month. The only program to crack Fox’ total dominance was MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show” which came in at the 10th spot.
