This guy in Alabama supposedly shot a school bus driver and took a child hostage down in his bunker?

That seems fishy!

#1 - We live in a very large country, so there are usually going to be multiple incidents of any type of crime on any particular day.

#2 - Sometimes, when a crime gets a lot of media attention, it produces copycats.

It just SEEMS really odd that we didn’t start seeing these waves of shootings until the gun control debate started!

Shortly AFTER Obama got re-elected.

I can see the copycat thing definitely.

My point is.. these shootings SEEM to be coordinated.. happening all at once.. or within hours of one another.

I think our current society and economy are producing more and more people that are either just fed up, or on the verge of going postal.

I think it is a “shark attack” reporting trend, where the media fixates on a story type and reports anything that is related. It makes it seem like there is an increase in the incidents or that they are all related when it just the attention paid by the media to something they would normally ignore or not cover so extensively.

I can see it happening once in a while.. but these just seem to now be happening in waves about once every 2 weeks.. on the same day!

Maybe it is about copycats.. people see others shooting up office buildings and decide they’re going to give it a try?

Weird.

The coordination is the media’s reporting, not frequency. If you do a google news search for any random period of time you’ll find several incidents like these almost always. The difference is they usually just get local coverage, not national.

That’s possible.

These office shootings have become much more commonplace.

Odd? You mean those shooters were not members of the NRA and nooo, the shooters were not registered Dems..

With over 300,000,000 people in this country, I’m surprised there aren’t more......

I worked in the media..and we reported anytime anything like this happened.

BUT.. the national media has more flexibility on what to report on.

They may choose between reporting on 5 shootings all over the US OR.. the ongoing debate on immigration. I guess.

If they decide they want to get us out of our cars, watch them give breathless coverage to every traffic fatality. And they have over 100 of those to use every single day.

Just sayin’.

More publicity. Every shooting (other than gang bangers in the inner city) is being reported far and wide. Prior to Sandy Hook the Phoenix thing would have been 10 seconds on the evening news and the Alabama incident would have gotten maybe 30 seconds.

3. 24/7 news coverage needs something to report and wants attention - ratings - no matter how statistically insignificant the incident may be. “If it bleeds it leads”

4. Media shares an agenda with the Progressives - Anything to manipulate public opinion against firearms and their owners goes to the top of the pile.

Actually they're not, you're just hearing more coverage on the individual events over a longer period of time which over time leads you to believe that it's the events that are becoming more numerous.

The reason for it is:

When you have a population of 315,000,000 you end up with thousands of people who are out of balance.

Psychologist are handing out antidepressant and antipsychotic drugs like they are candy. Ritalin is probably the gateway drug.

We have stopped housing those whose psychosis is self-directed as well as those whose psychosis is directed outward.

A certain number of people will look at the hysterical, weeping anchors covering the latest shooting and say “cool”.
