If Menendez quits or is removed by the US Senate, I honestly do not think he can hold out and it is very likely Christie will win a second term, whom will Christie appoint to replace him?
What are the laws in NJ regarding replacement for the US Senate?
ping
Quite possibly his own fat traitorous self. He has presidential aspirations, after all.
Does Lautenberg have a twin?
We can call them Death Twice Over
Menendez is going no where. Dems will rally call his detractors racists, rally around him and create a reason to give him a special award for selfless lifetime service. The media will praise him relentlessly.
Remember, Menendez is a Democrat. Democrats can get away with anything. You may notice that the MSM is ignoring this whole thing. He isn’t going anywhere.
The law states that any New England state shall always have two Democrat Senators, despite the will of the people or the degree of corruption of the current officeholder. See: Massachusetts.
I don’t know what the rules are but if Christie can appoint somebody and he has discretion there is no doubt in my mind that he will appoint a democrat. With every passing moment he is showing himself to be a RINO under the BEST of circumstances.
I would love to be proved wrong but I have no confidence whatsoever.
I heard that it wasn’t GIRL prostitutes that the good Senator was buggering...
The Democrats will demand that another Democrat be appointed as his replacement, and Christie will give in to that demand.
There’s no guarantee Christie would appoint a Republican, but if he does, I recommend:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kim_Guadagno
The simpering media has closed ranks around him, they will not report anything that they perceive as bad about him.
As far as Jabba the Christie, if, IF the sick pervert Menendez were to do the right thing and commit seppuku, Jabba the Christie would simply roll over like the fat whale that he is and appoint whatever other sick pervert that the sick perverted party of perverted democrats demand he appoint.
End of story.
And just in case no one noticed, I have no use for Christie.
He is a RINO.
If one looked up RINO in the dictionary, there would be a picture of Christie, along with a plethora of others that claimed an "R", in the past and present.
If one looked up Rhino...well, who knows, perhaps Christie would be the only pictorial reference provided.
Truth be told, I really don't care, since I'm convinced that those persons that would once have slept with Christie have finally realized just who it is in the bed that shat said bed.
(And as an aside, once again, Rush was correct in his assessment of Christie. He told us all that Christie was a bed shatter. But certain persons just had to pull back the sheets and look before they would believe. And now, the stink fills the room and won't go away.)
If Christie has any stones will apooint Steve Lonegen, Tea
Party organizer from Bergen County (northern NJ)
Likely a Scott Brown type RINO.
I just made all that up, I have no inside info regarding Cody or any other candidate. Cody was the interim governor after McGreevy resigned in disgrace and the dems wanted to throw Corzine under the bus in 2009 and have Cody run against Christie instead, which didn't happen. I could see Christie trying to score points with his ongoing "I hate the GOP" campaign and move Cody safely away from his reelection effort at the same time.
Some states require the Governor to pick a replacement from the same party as the vacating Senator, and it wouldn’t surprise me if NJ is such a state.
“Remember, Menendez is a Democrat. Democrats can get away with anything.”
Really?
Do you happen to remember a guy by the name of Torricelli?
Kyrillos is about as good as he’s going to get
Ah,yes...it's the old "Scott Brown RINO" routine.Just FYI Georgia Girl...I've been to Georgia many times but have never lived there. The closest I've ever come to living in the South is having spent about 4 months at Fort Knox,KY for training. That was back in '69.Have you ever lived in Massachusetts? Or New Jersey? Check my profile to see how long I've lived in Massachusetts. The sad reality is that Massachusetts has fallen so far into the leftist pit that a Massachusetts Senator like Scott Brown is the *very* best that decent Americans can expect from the state.A candidate for the Senate that could *easily* be elected...time and time again...in Georgia wouldn't get 30% of the vote here.Even if he/she spoke with a Boston accent. In 2010 the ADA (a filthy Communist organization) rated Barney Frank's voting record at 100%...they rated Kerry's at 85%...and they rated Brown's at 20%.In 2011 their ratings were Frank 95%....Kerry 90%...Brown 40%.By their rating system 100% is a perfect Communist (meaning perfect in their eyes) and 0% means perfect racist Nazi.
You do the math, who would you rather see assuming you only had two choices? And BTW...I'll bet the clothes on my back that Princess Liawatha, our new Senator, will be getting 100% scores for every one of her 30 years as the senior from Massachusetts.
That is why I asked about the law in New Jersey.
“A candidate for the Senate that could *easily* be elected...time and time again...in Georgia wouldn’t get 30% of the vote here”
Thats what I like about the South. :-)
I am from NJ and have been involved with the State Gov’t. Christie is the best choice at this time. However, he makes deals with the Dems all the time. He has appointed people just to recieve the Quid Pro Quo. We had a Dem Prosecutor(reappointed) in one county where it is all Rep. The reappt. was a huge suprise to many as the person is clearly incompetent and political oriented. Then we find there was a trade off for a higer position. Chrisite ignored the public who begged him not to reappt. this man. He will do whatever he wants.
A Democrat.
Count on it.
New Jersey isn’t in New England...
Not the best example. Yeah, The Torch got in enough trouble to have to quit, which is rare for a Dem, but the state Dems then proceeded to break the law by replacing him with Lout the Fossil right before the election, so the seat stayed Dem when it had no right to.
In the end, a law-breaking Dem was replaced by a law-breaking Dem. Whoopee.
How about another nice muslim?
This quote was taken in WIKI.
Who knows, the fossil may not make it till the next election and Cristie has the chance to replace both Senators
One can hope, my FRiend. I just wish Christie were more dependable.
My vote is for Christine Todd Whitman, a woman who has “reached across the aisle”.
Of course, when done by a Republican, that means she is HATED and DESPISED by both sides, instead of one side.
It’s for me to see him quitting without a deal in place to have a democrat replace him.
There would have to be strong proof for his friends to consider expelling him.
“There would have to be strong proof for his friends to consider expelling him.”
If Teddy K. didn’t get expelled for KILLING someone, back when this country was “normal” (althogh the wheels were starting to come off), no way this RAT-face gets the hook (pun intended).
