The White House has released a picture purporting to show President Obama "skeet shooting" at Camp David. An activity he claims he does "all the time."
The White House also warns all you mischievous internet types to not mess around with the picture:
"This official White House photograph is being made available only for publication by news organizations and/or for personal use printing by the subject(s) of the photograph. The photograph may not be manipulated in any way and may not be used in commercial or political materials, advertisements, emails, products, promotions that in any way suggests approval or endorsement of the President, the First Family, or the White House."

If you look at the actual picture released...it’s an odd thing. Typically...shooting skeet...you have the gun at a 15-to-20 degree aim (upward). He’s firing the gun at a flat line...at some piece of paper on the wall I suspect. Maybe they call that skeet....but the picture is odd to match up with the term skeet.
Isn’t that the pic where he’s dressed like a clay pigeon?

My impression: It was staged.

Number 2- when was this taken? After he made the statement and someone thought they better give him a little training and take a pic?
I call BS all around.
I thought all government photographs were public domain. I think the only restriction is it can’t be used for an endorsement. For instance, you can’t use a photo with a NASA logo on it to make it look like NASA is endorsing something.
Never once did the left ‘shop a picture of Bush. Never.
Screw them, it is published on the White House website, we own that website, we own that photo. They are afraid to hurt his feelings.
Two questions:
1. Why is his cheek jammed up that tightly on his gun?
2. Why does it look like gasses are being emitted from the side of that barrel?
Just about everything coming out of the occupied government these days seems to be staged/faked/redone/lied about, so I wouldn’t be surprised.
It’s too predictable, after they make a wild claim that BO goes shooting “all the time,” they simply had to come up with a photo...
So does this mean the SS is coming to knock on our doors if we manipulate the image?
How about a flag coming out of the barrel instead of smoke — a flag labeled “I’m a homo”? Would that count as “manipulation”?
Or maybe they’ll come knocking on my door for suggesting an idea for manipulation...
1) Because he has no idea how to shoot.

Well from the position of the recoil pad on his shoulder I suspect that was the first and last time he ever shot a shotgun. I suspect this was in retaliation to comments being made. I also notice no station or house plus he’s not even looking down the rib. I shoot skeet, trap and clays and have never seen that much smoke come out unless you were to pull the shot and shoot with the wadding only, then you have a bunch of unburt powder going down the barrel, another staged photo shot.
So what? So somehow in the demented scheming minds of FUBO’s handlers a posed photo holding/firing a shotgun makes him NOT a gun grabbing Marxist, but just a good ol’ boy, and “one of us”?

It reduces muzzle climb at the expense of reduced velocity. Neither effect is particularly significant in a shotgun.
What I would really like to know is why the shotgun has a visible choke only in the top barrel. That makes no sense for skeet. Neither does the fact that he’s got no vest and no extra ammunition.
This is (was) a staged photo op, no question in my mind.
I wonder if they shopped the smoke in to add more to the picture? I’m sure some of our expert FReepers could analyze and tell.

Of course it was. His entire presidency is staged. So much so that its getting to the point where the actions of his propaganda machine are even predictable (e.g., distracting news released to reduce the effect of negative events, Friday afternoon news dumps, etc.). His political playbook is becoming more transparent by the day.
As we well know, the 2nd Amendment has absolutely nothing to do with hunting. It wouldn’t matter if President Obama shoots skeet 12 hours a day. That also has nothing to do with the 2nd Amendment.
