Sounds pretty good, but I can’t stand watching her bob and weave.

She did a good job, but I’m left wondering which female violinist started that excessive body motion while playing before audiences?

Geeze, You guys are harsh. She's only 7. Hope you're not that critical when your 7 year old daughter or grand daughter perform in concert.

She's now 10, and studying at Juilliard.

Well, her constant swaying does detract from the performance because you start concentrating on it rather than the music. Someone around her should get her to cool it on the swaying when performing. Should be easily rectified. However, for such a young one she plays beautifully and has a long and fruitful career ahead of her. She also has a beautiful head of hair. Like an angel’s. The violin is one of the most exquisite instruments ever made when played by a master of it.

OK, I'll say she wasn't perfect. And I do believe that will be corrected. But...but, she's 7. That's all I was trying to say. God bless her and her family should be proud.

Kind of made me seasick to watch her bob and weave.

There’s a photo of her with Bill Clinton. Really creepy. I wouldn’t let my 10 year old near him.

Hilary Hahn is an excessive swayer. I’ve seen her in person and was afraid she was going to tilt so far to one side or the other that she’d go headlong into the orchestra pit.

Nice playing for such a young kid.

But she looks like she could use some Gold Bond Medicated Powder.

Just an amazing talent in one so very young. She feels the hymn with every fiber of her tiny body. We will be blessed to see more of the little girl as she grows in her grace and talent.

I agree. The music was lovely and the little girl is amazingly talented. I’ve seen concert violinists use body language, usually quite spontaneously, when they perform. This little girl’s body language seemed choreographed and a little exaggerated. I was distracting.

I did. I moved it to the background and listened as I did other things on my computer. My point is that whoever is coaching her is doing her a disservice. Her bobbing and weaving should be dialed WAY back. It distracts from the music.
