Yes, but this comment makes me nervous:

In Bar Harbor, ME, there is a city-owned fleet of buses that run on propane. (Or maybe it’s natural gas.) Riding the bus is free to the public.
Sure, but gasoline is still a better and cheaper alternative. Always will be. The only successful places for electric vehicles are golf courses, Costco warehouses (electric forklifts), and amusement parks (bumper cars). Anywhere else, you're burning oil, coal, or natural gas to create the electricity to charge the batteries and it would simply make more sense just to burn gasoline.
Batteries need to get better and cheaper.
Then it will be a viable alternative.
At the start of the electric car craze, a friend opined that “We need to put everything into electric cars because we’re on the cutting edge of a big energy storage break through!”
I asked if we really wanted to “bet the farm” against technology that does not exist.

Most kids today will ask: Full Service, what are you talking about? They have no idea.
I was working in one at age 15 and did it all.

Yea, I pumped gas at 16.
Oddly enough if you grew up in NJ, you may have a problem pumping your own gas.
Self-service is not allowed in NJ.
It’s there as long as the flywheel spins. But that system is very specialized — just meant to store energy from braking for long enough to use it when the officials turn on the green light.

My own electric motor scooter actually uses regenerative braking to store energy — but as electrical energy in the batteries, not as mechanical energy.
Some KERS systems do or did use battery storage, I guess.
I thought the Green light was to allow the rear down force wing to open when the “Chasing car” was within the set parameters.
The KERS power, I thought was accessible for acceleration?
Turbines (at least ones that get reasonable fuel economy) need to run at extremely high temperatures. That requires very expensive alloy metals which are really only affordable for aircraft where the low weight of the powerplant is vital.
They change the rules every year. I don’t follow closely — may have both aerodynamic and mechanical boost systems.
FIA rules are insane.
I remember when Nigel Mansel drove for Ferrari, with an automatic transmission.
He crushed the field and they changed the rules, again.
Well, since obama disagrees with a top electric car engineer/scientist, the obama is anti-science. Ah, that is music to my ears. "Obama is Anti-Science!"

A guy in our neighborhood had one of those and drove it by every morning where I waited for my bus to school. Very cool sound as it went by.
I found a copy of this same brochure in great shape and I still have it.
