Does anyone have a stupid Obama search bar at the bottom of their Free Republic pages?

Do NOT click on the redirect link at the source URL.
There is a symbol is a a blue box with a white "T" followed by these options on the bar:
Related: Barack Obama T-Shirts | Senator Barack Obama | Barrack Obama | Barack Obama's Campaign | Barack Obama News | Vote for Obama | and then a search bar with the magnifying glass symbol.
I'm behind a firewall and it isn't showing as a virus. But it is annoying as hell to see the dictator's name dominate an entire search bar whenever I pull up FreeRepublic.
Anybody else having this problem? Any idea on how to fix it.

I hope it isn't some lib lackey hacking our news forum . . . but I only got a glimpse of the contenko URL when I clicked on the link to see where it would go before I decided to close the browser.
I'm using Firefox but get the same annoying search bar on other browsers whenever I open freerepublic.com

Or maybe you have been hacked.

Switched to Chrome. Got this message on the top as well:
Google Chrome Extension Update: FreeTwitTube by Yontoo requires a critical update.
Not going there, but wondering why it is only on the freerepublic.com page.

Aren’t Free Republic web pages and Obama links like matter and anti-matter?

I had the same problem about a month ago. Yontoo (which I did NOT add) was the issue. I went to “add/remove programs” and took it out. No problem since..

I would do a scan with Malwarebytes, Super Anti-Spyware and CC Cleaner. All free programs that do wonders for removing spyware, malware and unneeded files (temp cache).

FIrst remedy would be to go into UNINSTALL and look for an item labeled as a ‘toolbar’.

In the form of a BHO (Browser Helper Object). More correctly, a Barack Helper Object.

...a Barack Helper Object. These are apparently quite common, comprising approximately 52% of the voting populace.

Sounds like a waste of money to try and sell us his shiite.

It looks like yontoo may be the problem. I have removed it as well as all Javascripts associated with it. But the problem persists.
Malwarebytes did not get it because it probably can't be associated with a virus, it it more like adware.
Now, I am seeing these directions: Manual removal guide for yontoo.pagerage
Does it sound reasonable?

Everyone needs this if they're watching videos. I have mine set to clear when FF closes - no carry-over between sessions.

Go to tools then add ons. It’s probably located there.
To: Vigilanteman
If add ons contain Yontoo, disable first then uninstall it.
