I agree, all she did was not get aborted, which is something of an accomplishment in Obama’s world. Super Gas is a tough class to win, but it is nothing more than a glorified bracket race, with solenoid shifters, throttle stops, weather stations, and delay boxes. Cut a light and figure the weather changes properly is a win. Let her win in a Pro Stock car, and I’ll be impressed, watching her set the counterweights on the clutch, and change valve springs between rounds, and I’ll really be impressed. I am a retired drag racer, and I wasn’t a celebrity driver.

Envy is a self-destructive emotion.

In Plano, Texas the IN and Out chain recently opened across the Interstate from the Steak and Shake.

Both burger chains put out good burgers at a reasonable price. Right now I’m leaning toward the Steak & Shake version because of their shakes which come in one of those tall inverted cone glasses from the 50s.

I also love Whataburgers. Bigger and old fashioned.

No way to go wrong with a good burger.

You misunderstood me, sir. I am not envious; I am quite satisfied with how my life turned out. I was just pointing out that most of us—and I would include myself among them—worked for the status we attained in life and that is satisfying by itself. Some, though, get everything heaped upon them by accident of birth. This lady is a prime example of that.

It must be nice to be born into a great fortune and never have to do anything but breathe.

I'll probably leave my heirs tens of dollars when I die.

Very good!

OTOH, I don’t know if you should be so generous.

Glad to hear that. Yes, it is a very satisfying feeling to make it on your own. Those who were born into wealth will never know that kind of feeling. So rather then envying them, I actually feel a little bad for them.
