What happened to Yahoo! Korea?
Self | 2/10/'13 | Zionist Conspirator

Apparently Yahoo! Korea (the South Korean Yahoo!) ceased to exist as of 12/31/'12.

Does anyone know what happened? Was there some trouble with the South Korean government? Or did Korea just decide to switch to Google?

I know, it's not important in the big scheme of things, but I need a diversion!

I’ve been hooked on Korean drama for the last couple years. If you need a diversion, this series is running right now and is excellent.

“The Great King’s Dream / Dream of the Emperor” (historical years 600’s)

I am also a Kdrama fan.

Have you seen the Les Miserable parody the ROK Air Force did. It is outstanding.

LOL. Good vid.:)

K-drama’s acting and writing is far above most things out of Hollyweird these days.

The Korean historical dramas are incredibly interesting. And I absolutely love Kim Choon Cho (years 603-661) and Yoo Sin (years 595-673) on ‘Dreams of the Emperor’. We could learn a lot from their duty, courage, chivalry and strong sense of family.

On last night’s episode, Choon Chu (in reference to going to battle with the despotic evil queen and her coup d’etat
military), said something along the lines of “Better to die then to live under tyranny. Even if every one of us is to die, we die with honor.”

I am so glad I’m not the only one. I keep telling friends how great Korean Dramas are and they think I’m nuts. Hulu has hooked up with DramaFever and if they get the contract for subbing, you can get the show within the week of the Korean broadcast on Hulu. I saw Faith(God’s Doctor) and a few others as they came out.

I just finished Unexpected You/My Husband Got a Family which is on dramacrazy. Excellent show about family and life.

That’s great to know about Hulu.

Some people think subtitles are a pain. I like to think of them as brain exercise.:) And sometimes the acting is so good, you can understand what’s going on without the translation.

P.S. Don’t you just love the scores they put with some of these series? Seems like thought is put into every part of the productions including the original background music.

This is from The Great King Sejong:

I really enjoyed Faith with it’s ersatz sci-fi time traveling historical blend. Definitely Lee Min Ho’s best yet, though City Hunter was great too.

Currently watching Incarnation of Money on Viki.

Chuno (Slave Hunter) and Hong Gil Dong were great.

Judging from their apparent dedication to karioke, I think they must be a very musical people.
