Hours before the most romantic day of the year, Oscar Pistorius' model girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp tweeted: "What do you have up your sleeve for your love tomorrow??? #getexcited #ValentinesDay".
Her excitement for the big day was palpable on her Twitter feed. Replying to one response she tweeted: "That sounds amazing! Wow that's what it's all about! It should be a day of love for everyone :) may it be blessed!"

The South African media are reporting that police have been called to their home a couple of times because of domestic violence.
That article seems to have left out the whole story. There is a history of domestic violence and once where he was arrested and spent the night in jail for assaulting a different woman.

I don’t know SA law, but it would seem weird if it was indeed an accident, that he was charged for murder, as opposed to manslaughter.
