From a "live chat" Obama had yesterday afternoon. He corrected himself to say "Purple Hearts." Simply a slip of the tongue or yet another evidence of profound and invincible ignorance?
Let me guess. He got those for being able to hold his breath until he turned purple?
I wouldn't be surprised if each of his phony ghosts was wearing a purple star.
He told me: "(boop), all it takes to get one is a paper cut!"
He had seen it firsthand. And that was 70 years ago.
He was a Bronze Star winner. No, not the greatest award by any means.
But he earned it.
As a holder of the Purple Heart, you don’t WIN the danged thing. No soldier set out to WIN a Purple Heart. You don’t get into a firefight and say, man, I hope I can WIN a Purple Heart today! Idiots. It is an award for wounds received in action by enemy fire. Not awarded for falling down and cutting your pinky finger as our wonderful Sec of State did.

Being a 3rd generation vet I appreciate what you, my grandad & dad , and the others with whom I served have done for this country.
That’s why we referred to it as the “Enemy Marksmanship Badge.”
If Hagel “won” two Purple Hearts does that mean everyone who managed not to get wounded “lost”?
