EXCLUSIVE: Harrison Ford Will Return As Han Solo In ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’
Latino Review ^ | 2/15/13 | Fox

Good morning cool kids!

What’s poppin’?

Star Wars, man!

I still can’t believe there is going to be another another trilogy.

I’m not going to lie, I was one of those who were of the opinion that all the recent Star Wars news was a tad overkill. I wanted to disconnect my internet until 2015.

I thought lots of folks felt the same way I did.

Boy was I wrong.

I took an informal twitter poll and asked my followers if they wanted Star Wars scoops. The response was overwhelming. Even my inbox got bombed like never before.

Man, y’all really want Star Wars scoops!

After trying to avoid the circus, I’m now smack dab right in the middle of it.

So like a Corellian smuggler I went on the prowl and I came up with something BIG.

YOu jest, but Ford has been getting younger ‘officially’. In 1977, every magazine and news item had his birthdate in 1941. That would make him 72. Now he’s born in 1943-and is only 70? Please. If we wait long enough he’ll be 25 again. Or...more likely...he’ll belly up before the character does.

After a long and nerdy explanation, they say he is 40 years older for every kessel run he’s done. They speculate he may have done up to 23.

I hope you know more about Star Wars than that

Me? I know everything there is to know about Star Trek Wars. 2nd Generation, and prequels too!

Mel Brooks had the title a long time ago...Star Wars Episode VII-The Search for More Money. You cant recreate a phenomenon. All they`re about now is turning Myth into Marketing. Sad. Won`t see it. Original Trilogy is my Star Wars.

What you speak of is in the crappy books, and NOT Canon.

Personally I prefer to think that the Princess finally came to her senses and sent the taxi driver on his way.

Crappy? The Grand Admiral Thrawn trilogy is just plain good writing. Jedi Academy was a bit shakier.

At one point, General Solo is married to Leia Organa-Solo, who follows Mon Mothma as Chief of State of the New Republic, and has a passel of kids.

Would love to see that in any new movies.

They’d have to carry Fisher onto the set.

Those books were puerile and formulaic swill aspiring to crap. To take the main characters and imagine THAT kind of future was criminal-even as a money making joke. Nothing like saying 25+ years of Rebellion was a waste of time to undo a whole Saga. But...back on topic...it doesn`t matter if Han Solo dies on screen or is referred to as dead, it`s NOT about him! Star Wars is about Good-vs-Evil and Good WINNING and the Skywalkers. Unfortunately our culture now prefers darkness and Evil winning and the focus is a space cowboy/criminal/ hired driver who got paid but never went away. It`s not Solos story...never was. And Disney`s won`t be Star Wars`-—or mine.

Bring back the whole original cast.

It will be like “Cocoon” meets “2001: A Space Odyssey”.

Good Heavens... How dare an Author inject things like character development, plot, and consistency into the Star Wars verse...

It's not like Lucas will inject a microbial source for the Force, change the premise for a characters existence, or change primative fighting culture for a teddy bear all for a quick marketing buck...
