'They started to hit me around the head with the gun but I managed to grab it off them and it fell to the floor.'
Mr Rasul said one of the robbers ran over and picked up the gun and walked back to him.

Everyone knows guns are illegal in Britain...so how did the attacker get a gun.
I was wondering the same thing myself.
This is Birmingham, England to be clear.
Oh that's easy - guns are only illegal to the law-abiding. Criminals can have as many as they want. Same here in the good old USA.

I figured that. It was generally for other posters who may get confused with Birmingham, AL.
Well if the town was named Chicago I wouldn’t blame anyone for getting the Country confused. In fact I believe Iraq is much safer than Chicago.
Sadly, this guy is right. Factor out the terrorist attacks (crazy hajis being crazy hajis), overall it seemed fairly quiet. Although there were certainly “bad neighborhoods” in Baghdad, particularly near Sadr City and in Dora (just south of the Green Zone).
Not blaming anyone and I agree Iraq is safer than Chicago.
Chicago is a quagmire, we should pull out.
What a sad state the UK has devolved into! Not only are people 'suspects', but so are tools! Meanwhile the [criminal] is helping the police with their inquiries.
Give the Democrats free reign here, and we will devolve into the same miserable existence. Screw all Democrats!
I was in Baghdad in 07-08 and other than concerns about EFP’s (from our BFF Iran) and IED’s, I felt safer there than when I am in certain parts of Chicago currently. In Baghdad we carried enough to handle most situations. In Chicago you could very well be at the mercy of the bad guys.
