“Leave little kids with other family members for real”.

This woman may have been traveling to a funeral and planning on leaving the child at a relatives in that location. On a side note, it is probably how you were raised. I was raised that wakes/funerals were a part of life. I went to them when I was probably about five years old. My children have done the same. Death is a part of life and there are still some folks that share that with their kids.

Children at a funeral? What a great idea! Let me tell you about some real life stories. Children posing questions.

- “Mommy, who is the young man kissing the widow on the mouth?”

Later at the wake:

- “Daddy, grandpa is dead, why is everybody getting drunk?”

Adults discuss the distingushed life of the departed at the wake. Children ask.

- “ Mommy, what’s a ‘whoremonger’”?

As I said, a splendid ideer!

“What travel options would that be?”

Put it this way, if I’m a “CEO” with $10M per year, I think that I could charter my way around...and probably have the company pay for it too. I would not need to fly with the masses.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/25/average-ceo-pay-2011_n_1545225.html

Of course if I were a company-owner, I might be making a LOT LESS, but the article said “CEO”, and thus implies they’re talking about the Uber-Rich - unless they’re trying to deceive us?

If he goes to jail he’s in for a nasty surprise. Racist and a child assaulter won’t make him very popular with his fellow inmates.

Because it was her child

Strictly speaking it wasn't - it was adopted.

“it was her child”. “strictly speaking it wasn’t.. it was adopted”.

Are you friggin’ serious? For one, “it” was a he. A little boy. Two, every adopted child is the adopted parent(s) child not only legally but morally. I don’t know if you are trying to troll, poke some fun or if you have some serious issues with respect to children. However, as an adopted Mom to one.. your disrespect is not funny.

He'll quickly learn the meaning to the warning "Don't drop the soap!"

Did you even read the article ?

Zerosix didn’t read the article. Had he/she read it he/she would have realized that the ‘black lady’ is actually white. He would even have seen a picture of the mother and child. The mother is white - the child is of mixed race. However, like a certain segment of FR’s braintrust, he/she didn’t bother reading the article. Also, even if the ‘black lady’ was actually a black lady, there were other witnesses who passed Zerosix’s credible witness criteria.

I know you’ve been around plenty long enough to have seen the film “Little Big Man” ten or twenty times.

Do you remember the scene in which the cavalry is attacking the village (I think it might have been Custer at Washita) and the old chief, who has been left blind by a wound in a previous battle, goes wandering to safety through the thick of the slaughter with an odd grin on his face, believing somehow that as long as he can’t see the carnage on every side then somehow it cannot sweep him up either.

That is what you just achieved in this thread, Chief Revolting cat!

The only alleged witness claims he “heard derogatory language coming from the rear of the aircraft” from 12 rows forward while the plane was in final descent.

Not believable. For him to know it was derogatory language, it would have to have been intelligible at that great distance over the noise of the plane. Yet no one else heard it, apparently.

I thought slapping was the accepted way to calm and quieten people on an airplane (YouTube video)

Well, this company is private, with less than 20 employees.

Flying private is very expensive at some $5,000 per hour on NetJets and about $2,500 per hour on private jets that are no frills.

This guy was flying for personal reasons and the company is only responsible for charters related to business. This way they get to write it off on their taxes.

I have a friend who works for a major name company as the CFO. He has unlimited access to the fleet of private jets they own as well as having an account at Net Jets.

He can only use the jet for business. He can bring his wife and children with him but, the reason for using the jet has to be verifiable and documented business, pertaining to their business.

He does have access to the jets for personal use but, he pays for it out of pocket, though he does get a discounted rate for his compensation and the amount of hours they fly on Net Jets.

Even then he has to document the use for personal and give a general description of it’s use, as it commingling personal/business use of an asset.

The IRS allows for some things to be dual use and you can write it off but, the majority of it’s use, IIRC, must be 85% business.

That company did $13 billion last year.

The Whack Job, who slapped a baby, doesn’t have access to a private jet and it would be unwarranted and financially irresponsible to charter, given the company did around $1 million last year.

A lot of people assume CEO means you make big bucks but, that generally applies to public companies as stated in the Huffpo.

There are plenty of CEO’s earning 8 digits for their compensation and the company is private but, then again, so are they.

Even with all that, there are many who feel spending $25,000 for a round trip from San Francisco to NYC is just too expensive.

For instance, a good friend of mine flies all over North America on private but, when they go over the Atlantic or Pacific, they fly 1st class commercial.

I asked why once and they replied that it is just too expensive to fly private. They can afford it but, on International that’s how they fly.

Then I have another friend who has two 737’s and a couple of private jets. They 737’s are for some businesses he has where they require that many seats or rather a more roomy ride, as those only have about 1/2 the seats they would have for commercial.

Even he rides commercial when going to China but, he will go private when traveling in North America or overseas to Europe.

Guy is flipping rich but, that’s how people prioritize money.

Me? I’d fly private in North America and South America but, I’d probably go commercial when going to Europe.

I like to meet people on a 7 hour non-stop and I like hanging out in the bar upstairs.

Like I said, this bozo couldn’t afford to fly private.
