Gun Rights: Are There Any Peaceful Solutions Left?

No revolution for good ever begins with "majority support". Each is fought by a minority of strong willed and aware individuals. When all other methods of protest have been dismantled, the system leaves us with only two options: stand and fight, or kneel and beg for mercy. All you need to know is what YOU would do when faced with that choice.

There is no other culture on earth that has the capacity, like Americans currently do, to defeat centralists, defend individual liberty, and end the pursuit of total global power in this lifetime. We are the first and last line. If freedom is undone here, it is undone everywhere for generations to come. This is our responsibility. This is our providence. There can be no complacency. There can be no compromise. There can be no fear. It ends on this ground. One way, or another…

Are we close to holding a Constitutional Convention yet, ...

Constitutional Convention? YGBSM.

A Constitutional Convention would be dominated by the likes of those that reelected The Won.

There's a description of what a Constitutional Convention would look like here.

But "they" don't live in free cities, where capitalism is the rule. Vulnerable it might be --- so was the golden goose --- but how dumb would they have to be, to hurt it? All the corrupt legislators of the USSA would have their loot invested in that tax haven.

If the Constitution is failing, how do you proposed to peacefully repair it? Or if a peaceful solution is not possible, should those who love the Constitution prevail after a bloody conflict, how would they set about to structure a new constitution that would not suffer from such flaws?

Indeed, this is the most important aspect of the socialist’s challenge to the RKBA today. But the same can be said for a government that has seized the power to throw all of us into debt-serfdom, to impose all manner of regulation via the EPA, to have unlimited powers through infinitely elastic commerce and general welfare clauses, and one that has destroyed the right to financial privacy, among other abuses, insults and tyrannies.

I think that people who are too quick to imply the willingness to shed blood (the molon labe crowd) have not fully thought through the consequences of their actions.

While not perfect, I see Professor Randy Barnett’s proposal as a good place to start talking about how to repair our failing government:

A Bill Of Federalism

We still have peaceful avenues left, and holding a Convention is just one of them. But if all we can talk about is our resolve to not obey unjust laws, that plays right into the hands of those who are proposing them. In some ways it almost proves their point that guns must be restricted. But we really have a broader issue that is directed at liberty and the role of government itself. Government must be limited or government will grow to consume and control us. This government has become a self-funding Leviathan who reports only to the political class. We are headed for great trouble if we cannot put government back into the chains of the Constitution.

“If we got rid of EPA...”

The following unconstitutional FEDERAL programs, agencies, departments, bureaus, commissions, administrations, offices, foundations, councils, services, institutions, boards, centers, divisions, grants, initiatives, registries, affairs, authorities etc, SHOULD ALL BE ABOLISHED.

THESE ORGANIZATIONS PRODUCE NOTHING-THEY JUST LEECH AND TRANSFER WEALTH FROM ONE CLASS TO ANOTHER BY FORCE OF TAXATION.

ANY WONDER WHY WE’RE BROKE???...

With these organizations gone, we could eliminate the federal income tax (for real economic stimulus). Then all these federal government fat cats would have to get real jobs like the rest of us - probably without the 10 holidays a year.

This list does not include the unconstitutioal power of the UN and the more than 500 billin a year it costs the U S to belong nor does it include the money we give groups like the ACLU and ACORN.

ATF is not on this list, but really should be at the top of the list. We do not need the Federal Govt controling alcohol, tobacco or firearms in any way, shape or form.

I would add one other agency, the FDA, that does nothing to protect we the people, is in the business of protecting BIG PHARMA, the drug companies, and forces the high, unafordable cost of medical care in this country.

Gun Rights: Are There Any Peaceful Solutions Left?

At this point, probably not. The ballot box has been rendered ineffective by the Republican slide to the left, as exemplified by the nomination of Romney, a known gun-grabber. The left is a well-organized enemy with a powerful propaganda arm- the media and entertainment industry. Couple that with the natural tendency of all governments to usurp liberty and power- and our Federal government has been leeching away at that of our states and citizens for years- and it is easy to see where this will head. Such clashes are inevitable and the time for choosing is not far off, in my opinion.
