LOS ANGELES (AP) Dozens of protesters rallied outside Los Angeles police headquarters Saturday in support of Christopher Dorner, the former LAPD officer and suspected killer of four who died after a shootout and fire this week at a mountain cabin following one of the biggest manhunts in recent memory.
Protesters told the Los Angeles Times (http://lat.ms/11Ndm6i ) they didn't support Dorner's deadly methods, but objected to police corruption and brutality, and believed Dorner's claims of racism and unfair treatment by the department. Many said they were angered by the conduct of the manhunt that led to Dorner's death and injuries to innocent bystanders who were mistaken for him.
Michael Nam, 30, who held a sign with a flaming tombstone and the inscription "RIP Habeas Corpus," said it was "pretty obvious" police had no intention of bringing Dorner in alive.

Dozens eh?
DUAC?
Pretty much who Mr. Gatling was thinking of when he invented his gun.
These people are morally lost.
10% of the people in the United States believe that Elvis is alive and 8% believe that if you mail him a letter he will get it.
Well you know democrats and their creative math. It is an unusual way of counting. So yea, dozens and I don’t mean a bakers dozen.
Someone should market Candy Drones and Gummie Goons, probably make a fortune selling them online.
Not surprising. Wouldn't shock me to know a few might post here. If you check a few Dorner threads you can probably identify them.
Even Charles Manson has his whack job supporters..I am glad the bastard is dead..can you imagine the circus if this had gone to trial..the leftists would have given him a parade and he probably would have been acquitted..who needs that..he’s a crispy critter and good riddance
Worse yet, the glove wouldn't have fit so the jury wouldn't convict. :-)
The guy had all of a 10 day criminal career full of nothing but ambushes and missteps, and and they want to make a Dell Comic book hero out of him.
Crisp Doner lives !
Why aren’t they protesting the San Burnanegro Sheriff’s Office?
There is no question that Dorner snapped and went off the deep end. His actions during the ten days demonstrated he had a hatred for cops, but compassion for civilians not connected to law enforcement.
The incident begs for a review of what really happened that caused LAPD to take away his livelihood and future. Was the incident involving the training officer part of a pattern, or a one-time he said, she said, event.
Cops protect their own and their favored officers. A fair and impartial review of all involved is the only thing that will put this unfortunate incident to rest, along with appropriate action if Dorner was indeed treated unfairly. If, in fact, the assertions in Dorners manifesto are even partially true, there is no way he could appeal outside the police department to get a fair and impartial review, short of the extreme measures of which were all now familiar.
>> but compassion for civilians not connected to law enforcement.
Cops are civilians too, and also deserve the due process Dorner was allegedly denied.
When an individual decides his grievances are best expressed through murdering others, the case for mediation is lost.
“a hatred for cops, but compassion for civilians not connected to law enforcement.”
He declared war on the wives and children of the LAPD. His first victim was the daughter of an officer.
He was a loser nutcase who got a bad rating and then invented a complaint against the said rater. He was racist to the core.
Any investigation is an insult to the innocent people killed by that POS.
Sounds like those Libtards that said they “supported” the Troops, but not their Mission.
You have to be one compassionate Obama worshiping Mother*ucker to do something like that. /S
Best you rethink your deep thinking.
Dorner by his own actions confirmed the good judgement of the LAPD to fire his ass.
You write some mean satire.
Who in their lifetime hasn't been treated unfairly? WTF would this world be like if we all responded like Dorner?
His training officer writes this guy up and was quite outspoken about his temperament and wrote that he lacked judgment and common sense in the field. Guess what happens next?
This guy files allegations his training officer used excessive force...And he waited *days* to report these allegations, after being critiqued and “written up” by the training officer.
The reason he was fired he found out that his training officer had written him up for his poor performance, he decided to retaliate, making up a story about her kicking a suspect.
Ya see any serious red flags, corruption, dishonesty, character flaws or serious issues in regards to Dorner?
(barely) human filth
(barely) human filth
This case will never be put to rest. It will probably die out from public exposure like the Rodney King case but will never be put to rest. I am no fan of the USA police forces as I believe that many of the people in the various services were/are would be bullies who now can be under letter of law. However, when an obviously deranged man or woman decides decides/chooses to kill/eliminate some other person including law persons I believe the law has a right if not responsibility to hastily remove that person from danger to anyone else. To argue that such a person deserves legal considerations is sophistry as to another persons right to live free from danger.
Dorner shot a woman, Monica Quan in the head and killed her.
It’s little wonder that guys like Marc Lamont Hill, Toure and Chris Matthews adore him.
They will have to start testing it again, to make sure it is still effective..
Good thing Dorner was such an inept dork or he could have done a lot more damage
All I can think of is Ed Asner and Tookie Williams (Crips cofounder) circus. You are so right. Thank Goodness for Arnold Schwarzenegger or (it) would be still soaking off the Gov't teat or be back on the streets.
Considering that this is LA, the only surprising thing was that it was “dozens” and not at least “hundreds” if not “thousands”
He was inept, but he managed to drive to Big Bear on one of the few roads leading up there, Highway 39 I believe, and hide out for six days.
Whenever I used to drive up there I always saw CHP’s and local Sheriff's patrolling the highway. How they missed him until his Truck went up in flames is a mystery to me. Everyone living in Southern California was aware of the Vehicle and his description.
Every digital Freeway Road Sign had the description of his Vehicle posted. Too bad the LAPD didn't get the memo before they took out a few innocent Civilians because the Officers had no idea what a Gray Nissan Titan actually looks like.
Meh...its L.A. on a week-end...any excuse for a party.
Dorner is a hero just like Obama is hero. welcome to America where the idiots run around free and achieve nothing more than destruction. Remember there will always be idiots.
LOL—My thought exactly. Probably a few FReepers in the bunch.
Dorner the murderer will soon have his own version of the Che tee.
“the victim” solved!
With a Mil for his bounty? “Sorry brother but I need to update my stash”
I wanted him to go to trial, and then get hung.
It is a very dangerous precedent to have cops believe they can kill without a trial. Which they may have here.
Soon to come out:
1) A ‘sympathetic’ movie about Donner directed by Sean Penn
2) A couple dozen rap songs praising Donner
3) A few NBA thugs wearing Donner tattoos
4) Civil Rights march attended by the usual cast of race grievance characters
5) A politician saying if he had a brother, he would look like Donner
6) A bunch of lefty white women dating Donner look-a-likes
7) More media investigation in the name of racial profiling of ANY black getting so much as even a traffic ticket
8) More white guilt by the left
9) Even more gun sales
Let’s see - a “White” Hispanic kills a Black thug in self defense and he must be strung up. On the other hand, a Black thug shot an innocent non-Black woman in the head and kills others who were not threats to him and he must be adored. Dear Jesus, come back soon.
Like he couldnt have got another job. I. Think he was the tacist.
He was a nut job. Good riddance
He was the racist and was supposed to have a free path because he was black. He was another idiot entitled person. I agree
The right to protest is in existence only because a civilized people allow the protest card to exist. Existence with murderers and supporters of murderers is not a civilized society. Dorner became uncivilized. Uncivilized people will not cure societal ills, instead uncivilized people create societal ills. Democrats exploit these types of people for control of civilized people. Civilized people, in our nation, have an ace card. Civilized people will continue to prepare with their ace card. Should the civilized people be made to be outlaws by D.C. through removal of rights, then civilized will walk into the outlaw life. It is the nature of an armed civilized people.
Starring Sean Penn as Dorner.
His treatment was irrelevant in the analysis of the situation. Had he stayed within the bounds of the law, things may have been different. Instead, he decided to become a murderer. There is nothing in any aspect of this situation that deserves discussion, even the stupidity or incompetence of the LAPD in their actions. Those deserve a different discussion. Instead, we get comments like this
He is a highly trained person with specialized training! They will never find him!
He was fighting against injustice in the LAPD!
He is miles away from them, probably laughing at them!
He has them right where he wants them!
“If, in fact, the assertions in Dorners manifesto are even partially true, there is no way he could appeal outside the police department to get a fair and impartial review, short of the extreme measures of which were all now familiar.”
And so on.
In the end, he was just another deranged, violent liberal dipstick who killed innocent people then stumbled and tripped when the noose began tightening.
A 350 pound liberal a-hole who was going to truck around in Big Bear in the winter, covering his tracks in the snow, living under infra-red evading tarps, carrying cans of 50 cal sniper rife ammo with his Barrett slung over one shoulder and a manpad over the other, evading the law like Rambo, etc.
He was a stupid, fat, paranoid slob who didnt have the brainpower to figure out how to survive NORMALLY in a society created in the image of one HE advocated, if his idiotic manifesto was any indication. His manifesto was so lame it made The Unabombers manifesto look intelligent by comparison.
Well, I give him credit. At least he had two brain cells to rub together which caused his finger trigger to contract while the gun was pointed at his own head.
All I can say is thank God the piece of crap is dead. Does anyone really think he would have received a death penalty?
Then, we would have had people with “Free Dorner” (accompanied by the stereotypical “Guerrillero Heroico” Che-like image) in the fashion of the “Free Mumia” idiots.
Hell, he would have eventually got out of prison after living in there at our expense.
