He said that any short term fixes that would derail automatic spending cuts on both domestic spending and the military spending would be vetoed by him.
Does he not realize that videotape exists of this - at Youtube and all over the net? Does he think that he can say anything and that anything and everything he says somehow has an expiration date?
The GOP needs to repeat this over and over and over:
Obama OWNS this.
And this is the reason why the Republicans don't make attempt after attempt after attempt to "adopt short-term fixes?"

1. Yes 2. No. He doesn't care as the media will take care of subtle nuanced inconsistencies that would paint him in a bad light.
They need to do more than just not make attempt after attempt to adopt short-term fixes.
They need to repeat Obama’s own words over and over and make him own this.

Why can’t somebody, RNC or private donors make ads from these clips? Obama is lying through his teeth and even some of the “low information” voters (a.k.a. morons) might see the contradiction to what he is saying now versus a year ago.
The GOP is gutless. The won’t call him out, on anything.
Any attempt to do so will be called “hateful rhetoric” by ABC,NBC,CBS,CNN,MSNBC and the list goes on and on and on...
They will harp on that so much that it will drown out the message of any ad against Obama who has discovered that if he stays in campaign mode he’s going to get what he and the Left wants.
The left has harped ever since I can remember that the main stream media is totally dominated by the far right and I am 60. They know that most young people even back in my day rarely paid attention to the news. This tactic worked well for them because if a young person did actually catch a brief blurb of the news, and they heard a reporter say something bad against someone on the right, They would think, WOW, that guy must really be bad if his own people have turned against him!”
I read material from all walks of life. I learned very early on that the media does not always tell the truth. The media gets by with this because we Americans have short attention spans. They detest those of us who do have memories and if you speak up they will label you as either insane or stupid.
Someday I will tell my story about the day I discovered that I needed to double check everything I heard on the news. It’s too long to tell now but I will say I was 12 years old when it happened.

I agree with that but I notice that Fox news nowadays starts their day off with a frank discussion of his lies!
Hannity is probably on his drone list, too!
Sometimes he looks and sounds like some of my crack-smoking acquaintances! They have all these grandiose schemes but never get anything accomplished of any import.
