[Police Constable] Peach gives statement only problem is, its a dog

West Midlands Police could be in the doghouse after someone from the force filled out a form in the guise of one of their police dogs, Peach.

The faux statement was brief and said: ‘I chase him. I bite him. Bad man. He tasty. Good boy. Good boy Peach.’

It also came complete with a ‘signature’ from the Alsatian, which was a print of its paw.

It was reportedly written in response to a barrage of requests from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) for an account from PC Peach on a matter, the Daily Mail reports.

Officers are said to have become frustrated after they continually told the law service Peach was a dog but were not listened to.

But it seems the joke report may have consequences as the force is now being looked at.

‘The matter will be investigated,’ DCI Julian Harper, from West Midlands Police, told Huffington Post UK.

‘The Professional Standards Department are looking into this, early enquiries suggest it is a light-hearted exchange as a result of a misunderstanding around a police dog and a police officer.’

Crown Prosecution Service has even less a sense of humor than most Internal Affairs units.

They need some of this to sweeten their dispositions

They demanded a statement, they got a statement. Some people can’t be pleased.

Incredibly good penmandogship but it looks like the statement is dated Aug 2 2013. This is a good day to put on your calendar. It is also my birthday.

I’m thinking that Peach may be a bit overqualified.

“Peach” is a rather effeminate name for a male doggie.

Was peach an Affirmative Action hire, to placate the Canine LGBTQ Community?

8/2/13 - since it hasn’t happened yet, I think they are using the European date format of Day/Month/Year. Guessing it’s Feb. 8, 13.

But here’s to a happy birthday when August rolls around next... :-)

Maybe effeminate, maybe not. Depends on the size of the stones, I guess.

You are correct. It is Day/Month/Year in Europe.

My sister in law almost got stranded in the United States when it was time for her to go back to Russia. After she visited us for a week, I took her back to the airport. The front desk wouldn’t take give her a ticket because they thought the passport expired.

The front desk lady read the passport expiration date as Month/Day/Year which would have been expired. So management had to get involved and educate the lady. Luckly, my sister-in-law was able to catch the flight in time.

Actually, it’s dated dd/mm/yy, or February 8, 2013, like most of the rest of the world uses. I really don’t understand the reasoning behind mm/dd/yy.

Then again, the fedgov up here uses yyyy/mm/dd. No rhyme nor reason, it’s just what they do. You also have to use numerical dates (# of days passed, # of days remaining in the year) when filling out purchase orders.

Thank you for the post and pings, gentlemen.

Sorry to hear that— I’m glad someone got involved who took care of it, and now hopefully that person won’t make the same mistake again. But too bad you and your S-IL were the ones who had to go through the stress of that individual’s training....
