Sam Phillips, Sun Records, had a terrific stable of talent in a studio not much larger than my kitchen. Great stuff, thanks.

Thanks. Sure miss them both.

One of best Columbo episodes (Swan Song) was the one with Johnny playing the villian. Plenty of good songs in there too. Who didn’t feel sorry for him, esp. when he finally got caught? Ol’ Edna (a holy harridan about as lovable as Hillary) had it coming.

It almost seems like each character is displaying his reliance on the guitar to speak for him with his body language. Dylan having the least reliance and perhaps a cautious disdain for the medium, and insight already unafforded his compatriots.

Johnny didn’t put much effort in to “fret sync’ing” his guitar in that clip.

Orbison had a prince of a co-writer on that ditty; provided ye have a pulse and at least several intact neural connections on that I think we can all agree!....perhaps the best song ever put down animated with Roy’s haunting, sincere vocals. Time tested and flawless, ever-enduring.

When Orbisons home caught fire and killed his two sons, the distraught Roy Orbison sold the property to Johnny Cash. Cash razed the ruins and planted an orchard on the land.
