I would rather save Vulcan for something a little more interesting than a tiny, rocky moon.

FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. (multiple votes using multiple internetz devices are allowed!) And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)

If Pluto is not a Planet, how can she have a Moon?

Fascinating!

Dumb, IMO. Those people must be completely unaware of the Greco/Roman mythology of Hephaestus/Vulcan.

Listening to Neil deGrasse Tyson on why he removed Pluto from the Solar system display at the Hayden Planetarium, his reasoning was that if Pluto was put in the same orbit as the Earth, it would "melt" away.

Why then, would any educated person want to associate such a property (assuming said moon is like Pluto) with the mythological blacksmith that worked with fire and iron?
