Michelle Obama surprises Oscars by presenting Best Picture award

OS ANGELES (Reuters) - U.S. first lady Michelle Obama made a surprise and unprecedented appearance on Sunday's Oscars telecast when she presented the award for Best Picture, the first time a president or first lady has ever presented an Academy Award.

Appearing live on screen from the White House in Washington, almost 3,000 miles from the Oscars ceremony in Hollywood, Obama praised the work of the movie industry before announcing the Iran hostage drama "Argo" the Best Picture winner.

Wearing a silver evening dress, Obama said this year's nominated films had "made us laugh, made us weep and grip our armrests just a little bit tighter."

No surprise for me either. Hollywood and the Obamas share common ideologies and goals. Why wouldn’t they want to be seen together. They are the true 1% who subscribe to the “for thee but not for me” attitude common to all communists and dictators.

The aim is to influence behavior and promote popular ( and at the same time immoral and self-destructive) culture through the adulation of those “acting” it out on the stage or on film in this case. If you’ll forgive the now overused phrase they are indeed “putting lipstick on a pig.” All that glitters is not gold, and in this case it is rotten to the core.

The Worst Lady’s appearance was disgusting on many levels. First...shouldn’t she be in prison for something? Second...her “white person’s hair” wig is so unbecoming to this fat grifter. I figure the reason is that Hollywood didn’t want all those Secret Service Wookie agents out there in the way.

Obama and Hollywood Go All In On Argo To Salvage Carter Presidency…

In what was a laughable attempt to convince the few who actually went to see the film Argo that the Jimmy Carter era was in fact not the disastrous mish-mash of failed liberal policies it truly was, the current mish-mash of failed liberal policies called the Obama White House, along with every bit of help Hollywood could provide, offered up the Best Picture Award to the Iranian-Hostage Crisis historical revision with a personal appearance by…drum roll please…First Lady Michelle Obama, who now clearly enjoys the camera every bit as much as her husband.

I am appalled at the presence of the military aides serving as a backdrop to this spectacle. Any self-respecting officer would find something else to do than to act as window-dressing for such a garish display of narcissism. Note how they pushed the girls up front with their big s#1t-eating grins and star-struck eyes. Revolting.

Apparently, the White House was throwing a full-blown Oscar party; Michelle was wearing a very expensive designer dress, and she had what looked like a dozen people dressed up like high-class movie ushers.

I think that party could have paid for at least a dozen furloughed employees.
