Hunters across Louisiana are outraged after state health officials ordered a rescue mission to destroy $8,000 worth of deer meat because venison is not allowed to be served in homeless shelters.
The Missouri Department of Conservation encourages hunters to donate deer to the poor.
Goverment hates private charity. Gotta keep the peasants dependant on their nanny government mommy. That way it’s “vote Dem or starve”.
Well I had to look that one up and I can say yes, it seem to be made differently from house to house. The meats I use may vary but the other ingrediences usually remain the same. Pinto beans, onions, potatos, green chilies, tomato’s and a healthy dose of jalapeno’s. I’m thinking this weekend it will be elk for the meat selection.
of course not deer meat is leaner and healthier than cow meat,
however, horse meat is just fine.
venison is healthier.
venison is healthier, no artificial hormones injected into it no gmo’d shit jammed into it.

circlecity gets it just perfectly.
Let them eat Gruel! Sez the state...
I’ve got a high school friend who is a dirt farmer. He has a deal with a major grocery store chain to compost their waste.
You can bet some anti-hunt group(s) are behind this sh**. Totally ridiculous.
“Id say any kind of road kill would be well served to these folks. Maybe some armadillo or alligator.”
You re referring to the health officials, right?
After all, if the meat wasn’t inspected by the government, the poor can’t eat it, right? /sarc
I lived in San Antonio, I ran a bread route, many times I´d pick up road kill on a cold day and we´d take it home and make stew. People can find many creative ways to cut costs, food stamps is a lazy persons way to exist.
Well, at least Kenya understands!
That was my first thought.
