LG Electronics Acquires webOS Operating System from Hewlett-Packard.

LG Electronics has acquired the webOS operating system technology from HP to support its next-generation Smart TVs. LG has entered into a definitive agreement with HP to acquire the source code, associated documentation, engineering talent and related websites associated with webOS.

With the transaction, LG will add the Sunnyvale and San Francisco sites to its global R&D locations, in addition to its existing U.S. sites in San Jose and Chicago.

I own two of their large LCD tv’s. one ten years old the other two years old. No problems with either.

I have a number of things,...the latest is a 60 Plasma TV,...very good price from Frys.

Ballgames look really good, watching the clippers dunk the basketball is great.

Will watch homeruns from the Angels during BB season.

It replaced a 32” that wasn’t doing much for me.

I could use a nice 50-60 inch for the family room. Prices have dropped quite a bit and then some since we bought a samsung 46”er for upstairs. still need to hook the wireless up to get internet stuff,, it’s nice to have options shopping wise. Frys or costco or online
