A person could do as much damage as Adam Lanza did with a double barreled 12 guage and one handgun with several magazines. It’s a myth that limiting magazine size would stop people from engaging in mass shootings.

Irrevelant. The restrictions and current attempts at killing off the 2nd Amendment have nothing to do with “what works”.

This is a two pronged approach by the totalitarians.

1. They want to look like they are doing something.

2, They are doing away with the 2nd Amendment a little at a time.

The 2A wasn’t contingent on future crime statistics and the current situation is more emotional than statistical.

I’m not that good but it still takes me less than 2 seconds to chance magazines.

That’s a very nice demonstration but you’ll never get anti-gun pols to watch it, they wouldn’t care if they did and 60 minutes would never air this for the low-info couch potatoes.

They don’t want to face a brutal fact. While a mass shooting is going on, does anyone honest-to-God think that people will be counting the shots and then when a pause occurs, say “Oh, he’s used up his allotted 10 rounds - now we can make a run for it while he reloads!” It takes just seconds to reload a fresh magazine, whether it has a 5- or 30-round capacity.

If they are in “gun free zones” (aka “victim rich areas”) they will continue to cringe, as they have been taught, under desks or tables while waiting for the police to come and draw chalk outlines around their bodies.

The body count could be lessened, if not avoided, by allowing law-abiding citizens to carry on-site, but then that wouldn’t fit the “never let a good opportunity go to waste” agenda.

In California, AR-15 style rifles are required to have installed on the receiver an insert in the release button that requires a special tool in order to release the magazine. This is suppose to keep someone from quickly changing out a magazine, and, I guess, allow someone time to stop a perp from reloading and firing. The problem is, it is easy to obtain a replacement receiver that does not have that type of release button. Thus, someone who is hell bent on a mass shooting can get a different receiving and attach it to the firearm, and then go on their “merry” way. If someone wants to kill or injure large numbers of people they WILL find a way to do so.
