When I was a kid I had two pet rats. One turned out to be female, which resulted in baby rats. After the mother died, and the babies ate her, my mother and step-father made them all disappear.

I’m reminded of the rather bizarre music video by the rather bizarre Tori Amos, featuring rats crawling over her in the Hindu “rat temple” (the temple of Deshnoke), and scenes of Orthodox Jews and Pentacostal “snake handlers”, for some reason.

After the mother died, and the babies ate her... Well,at least you learned a valuable lesson.It's a rat-eat-rat world out there.When I was a kid (long ago) there was a pet shop near my school that had a monkey in the window.I *begged* my parents to let me have one but they said no.It wasn't 'till years later that I realized that the fact contained in my tagline might have had something to do with their refusal.
