New Pope Francis called homosexual ‘marriage’ a ‘machination of the Father of Lies’

Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio, now Pope Francis, is known to LifeSiteNews readers as a valiant defender of life and family.

In terms of homosexual ‘marriage’, Cardinal Bergoglio fought valiantly to have the law in Argentina continue to protect the traditional family.

In July 2009, he called on the priests of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires to bring the faithful to an upcoming protest against homosexual "marriage."

"Let's not be naive, we're not talking about a simple political battle; it is a destructive pretension against the plan of God," wrote Cardinal Bergoglio in a letter sent to the monasteries of Buenos Aires. "We are not talking about a mere bill, but rather a machination of the Father of Lies that seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God."

"The Argentinean people will have to confront, in the coming weeks, a situation whose result could gravely injure the family. We are speaking of a bill regarding marriage between people of the same sex," a bill that calls into question "the identity, and the survival of the family: father, mother, and children."

The latter, warns Bergoglio, might also be threatened by homosexual adoption, which would be a true form of discrimination.

Excerpt...

In his writings, Francis wrote, “we should commit ourselves to ‘eucharistic coherence,’ that is, we should be conscious that people cannot receive holy communion and at the same time act or speak against the commandments, in particular when abortions, euthanasia, and other serious crimes against life and family are facilitated. This responsibility applies particularly to legislators, governors, and health professionals.”

Francis is also anti-euthanasia: “Today,” he wrote, “elderly people are discarded when, in reality, they are the seat of wisdom of the society. The right to life means allowing people to live and not killing, allowing them to grow, to eat, to be educated, to be healed, and to be permitted to die with dignity.”

Can you document that “A majority of those who call themselves “Catholic” are all aboard the fake “marriage” wagon.

Notice my qualifier, "call themselves 'Catholic'." And this is from the recently release Quinnipiac University's poll, which has been trumpeted from the mainstream media, that 54% of "practicing and non-practicing" Catholics approved of fake marriage. This includes nominal "Catholics" who claim the title by default because perhaps their parents were Catholic or they were baptized as a baby, but never attend services.

Of course, if you poll those who do practice their faith, it's more like 55% opposed. Still a horrifically low number, but you get my point.

Pope Francis I is a Jesuit in the manner of St. Ignatius Loyola its Founder.

Therefore, he would not be welcome at Georgetown U.

Viva Il Papa!

Glad he’s speaking of the whole gay parenting thing as discrimination .... same goes for abortion. A child has no power to choose, or to fight back against these injustices.

I wish women would also calm down about the priesthood. There is a reason why God wishes the Church to be this way ...as a model for us. Men have their role, women have theirs ....both are important — why can’t we see this as a society? Both should be lifted up, honored, and respected.

Too many women see the role of motherhood as beneath them ..something that holds them back. They should realize it’s their God given job to be mothers, the moment they conceive — same for fathers. We then see children as a burden . ....these are all things I hope will change with Francis I.

More of Pope Francis’ views..........

Sounds like we got the right man.

“In our ecclesiastical region there are priests who don’t baptize the children of single mothers because they weren’t conceived in the sanctity of marriage,” Bergoglio told his priests. “These are today’s hypocrites. Those who clericalize the Church. Those who separate the people of God from salvation. And this poor girl who, rather than returning the child to sender, had the courage to carry it into the world, must wander from parish to parish so that it’s baptized!”
Bergoglio compared this concept of Catholicism to the Pharisees of Christ’s time: people who congratulate themselves while condemning others.
“Jesus teaches us another way: Go out. Go out and share your testimony, go out and interact with your brothers, go out and share, go out and ask. Become the Word in body as well as spirit,” Bergoglio said”

Read more details about him. He’s good on a lot of issues but seems like he sympathizes with “economic justice.” I hope we don’t have a Socialist sympathizer as Pope.

What’s NOT good news is that a majority of those who call themselves “Catholic” are all aboard the fake “marriage” wagon.
.........................................................
Then it;s time for them to get off that wagon, or get out of the church.
Why belong to something that you do not believe in.

I hope he finally gives Catholic Clergy (the Priesthood and the Nuns),the cleansing it needs.

Those who have a problem with Church teachings need to move on.
