Never mind that Vice President Joe Biden has been rebuked by his own bishop over his pro-abortion views, he will lead the U.S. delegation to the installation of Pope Francis, the White House said today.
Biden is the first Catholic to serve as vice president and he will represent the United States at the installation Mass for Pope Francis on March 19, Vatican spokesman the Rev. Tom Rosica confirmed today.
Bidens own bishop has had to correct the pro-abortion politician on his misstating the pro-life teachings of the Catholic Church.
In the interview with the Delaware News Journal, Biden continued to misrepresent the position of the Catholic Church on abortion in a way that has gotten him in trouble.
But throughout the churchs history, weve argued between whether or not it is wrong in every circumstance and the degree of wrong. Catholics have this notion, its almost a gradation, Biden claimed.
Not so, says Rev. W. Francis Malooly, the bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington.
He wrote in a letter to the editor that Biden presents a seriously erroneous picture of Catholic teaching on abortion.
This is simply incorrect, he says of Bidens interpretation. The teaching of the Church is clear and not open to debate. Abortion is a grave sin because it is the wrongful taking of an innocent human life.
The Church received the tradition opposing abortion from Judaism. In the Greco-Roman world, early Christians were identifiable by their rejection of the common practices of abortion and infanticide, Malooly goes on to say.
The Didache, probably the earliest Christian writing apart from the New Testament, explicitly condemns abortion without exceptions, he continues. This has been the consistent teaching of the Church ever since.
I’d make him wear ash and sackcloth, but I’m not the Pope.
Note reference to Dicache in the last sentence.
Oh, so do I.
And Pelosi, while he’s at it.
Psssst. Yo Joey. Everyone will laugh if you keep saying “lighten up Francis”.
Trust me on this.
Our long national nightmare continues.
Accompanied by the tin man and cowardly lion?
Oh wait, different story.
I would love to see the new pope publicly and loudly excommunicate this bastard right on TV. I wouldn’t let him near anything holy.
Let’s see what happens when Biden presents himself for communion at the Vatican. That will be the test.
I don't think the coward will do it . . . he'll probably be advised by sock-puppet Obambi's handlers not to try receiving communion.
What could go wrong?
Maybe he’ll give Bidumb a “garden variety slap across the face.”
I think this perfectly represents the gravitas and decorum of the administration that was just re-elected.
Just as long as the Pope doesn’t think that this dolt represents all the people of the United States...
Just waiting for all the gaff’s he’ll make. I bet some will be priceless.
LOL, wonder if Biden knows that he did not permit pro choice polticians to receive while he was Cardinal.
He's a master at it, revels in it, is not embarrassed by it.
Remember when the Dalai Lama had to use the White House garbage exit after his visit?
Remember Obama's humiliation of Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House when The Zero abruptly walked out of tense talking with Bibi to eat dinner with his family?
Not to mention sending the White House bust of Winston Churchill back to the Queen, undoubted by Fed-Ex, collect.
If the Pope passes away prematurely, Obama will send Lucifer himself to represent the U. S. of A.....and will say to himself "what a good boy am I".
Obama is swine.
“I saw that seagull on the chimney, and I thought, gosh, if that seagull sees its shadow, they’re gonna have to have another vote.”
Hopefully Dum-Dum Joe will show up in Buenos Aires instead of Rome for the occasion.
