Google Reader will be gone July 1,2013.
I used it for many years as a simple way to keep up on the headlines.
Found an alternative that seems to work well for me,NewsFox,a Firefox addon.
What will you use?
Feedly works great- IOS and Android apps. You won’t miss it.

Tried Feedly, lot’s are switching to it,just not for me though.
Seriously, I’d never head of Google Reader and I’m kind of tech savvy. You’re the only one I’ve ever heard mention it too. I’m guessing that’s why it’s going away....good luck!
I like http://www.bloglovin.com/
Gotta make money to stay in business, unless you're the Federal Government, then you can just print it;)
I paid a $1,000 (plus sales tax) (on sale) for my Google Reader, and now it’s going out?
I also do not Chat, Twit, or IM so no great loss as far as I can see.
What is it? Some kind of RSS manager?
Then what if anything do you utilize, Utilizer?!
I use the RSS feed built into IE9.
An RSS reader,it was web based, simple to use, nothing fancy, just collected the news you were interested in.
mdittmar wonders...
For instance; 386 w 8Megs mem as a telephone answering and messagebox server, 486DX4-120 w 16Megs mem as a Security 4-cam timelapse server switchable to a P200 w 32Megs 8-cam additional video recorder as necessary, AMD K5-300 w 64Megs as a Linux Fileserver and NAS scheduled backup and CD-burner -but I think you get the picture.
More advanced units are used for CAD/CAM, Spice, Mechanical Stress Analysis, and plain old DVD decryption and backups as necessary.
Online, Foxnews online live video feed for news -and FR, of course, along with several online sites for downloading past episodes of enjoyable TV series episodes like NCIS, Leverage, Burn Notice and others for viewing whenever I wish and the occasional Skype messaging for family and friends or Linux Messaging Services for quick texting now and again.
Takes care of most needs, I feel.
freeps works good, or so i heard
I was just trying to look into Feedly but my college student is home on spring break and I’m low on bandwidth.
