Honestly I get tired of vanilla sports celebs sometimes.

I get tired of insolent, whiners, hypocrites and crybabies like Tony.

Wow, what a finish. Never expected that much excitement at that California track. I’m not sure what set Tony off as the block on the restart was common and legit. The last lap w/Logano sliding up into the 11 was a case of just being too aggressive but I’ve seen worse by other drivers. The cmts by Logano after the race (Denny had it coming after last week) earns zero points for maturity and class. I think Joey best button his lip or he’s gonna have another year or two of hell on the track. Congrats to Kyle for sweeping the weekend and for dedicating the race to Joe (Gibbs) in his on-air cmts.

That was a great finish. I will be real surprised if Hamlin does not have another concussion. I believe it would be his second.

He may not race for awhile and everyone will hate Joey.
I gotta respect him for driving like a madman all day but he seems to be turning into a real horses butt.

Tony will probably be black flagged at Martinsville after he puts joey into the wall

I wonder how many fans left the track early to get a jump on traffic and missed the most excitement all day...

Hamlin is still in the hospital on Monday.

His girlfriend says he has a back injury.

She's definitely the "sport model" although currently adding some ballast.

It was a great race. Even if they hadn’t wrecked, I think Busch was close enough to sneak through.

Seems like a bit of this is acting, to get the attention back. Tony’s frustration didn’t seem well placed, seemed Logano’s blocking was fair for the time.

Wonder how Logano feels now, Hamlin probably out for a long time this season, if he makes it back at all.

And, Busch has matured so much in the last year or so. Congrats to him.

It was a pleasant surprise to see the stands as full as they were but I bet more than a few did leave early to miss the bottleneck and kicked themselves for it. It is a good thing there is an extra week off but I agree, Joey is a marked driver. If Denny has to miss a couple of races - and the chase - do to that wreck, ho boy.

Taylor James Hamlin (a girl! ??) was born to Jordon, Denny’s girlfriend, on January 20th of this year.

Well, I ordered a new 2013 car today. Should have it in about 2 months from Germany. It is pretty fast...Audi S6. It has launch control, AWD, paddle shifters on the steering wheel, dual clutch, 4.0L V8 twin turbo, 420 HP and 0-60 in 3.7 sec. I am sure I can get into trouble with that! I really wanted one of the Shelby Cobra Mustangs, but don’t want another car I can only drive 6 months a year. I will need to get another set of wheels to mount studded snow tires for winter. I need to double check the invoice to make sure my wife did not have the order changed for the paint color from phantom black to the special metallic pink.

I wondered where MWR was getting his horsepower and it looks like it’s Gibbs. Thanks for the link...

I was pretty sure you would like metallic pink from what happydogX2 has said about you! I was looking for yellow, but that was not a color option. The AWD seemed to have good acceleration compared to 2WD cars. Here is a comment on a Car and Driver review of 3 cars, BMW M5, Mercedes E63 AMG and Audi S6:

Car and Driver compares the 2013 F10 M5, 2013 C7 Audi S6, and 2013 W212 E63 AMG and picks the S6?
digg inShare.0

Published on 06-08-2012 02:58 PM 2 Comments This one has us scratching our heads. How in the world can the Audi S6 be better than the new M5 or E63 AMG? What does that say about the upcoming RS6, this is already game over? Maybe it is. The M5 finished in last place. The M5 historically being a car that was untouchable and simply the best of the best. BMW falling this far is a statement in of itself in a major publication can seriously pick a car as over-matched on paper as the Audi S6 over it.

Car and Driver said the M5 had dull steering and was unsatisfying. Historically, if one had to pick which car out of these three these comments would be applied to fingers would point to the Audi. Times sure have changed and it is rather sad to see a car like the M5 fall this far. Traditional BMW strengths are the fun factor and steering feel. It is supposed to be the most involving. What has happened?

The E63 finishes in second place. Praise for its steering, engine sound, and torque are all given. Yes, the Benz has better feedback and communication than the M5. Its motor also does not need to fake its engine sound. The E63 was referred to as robotic but also entertaining which is somewhat of a conflict.

This brings us to the winner, the Audi S6. On paper it is easily beaten by the E63 and M5. This is the least powerful car in the group by a fairly wide margin with 420 horses compared to the M5’s 560 and the E63’s 518. Car and Driver said the power difference simply didn’t matter and it is somewhat apparent in the 1/4 mile times. The S6 manages a 12.1@115 compared to the M5’s 11.9@123 and the E63’s 12.0@124. The power disparity shows in the traps but the Audi’s Quattro helps it run door to door with the other two in the 1/4 mile. The RS6 is going to mop the floor up with them as we expect it to run mid 11’s stock.

The S6 is also slightly lighter than the M5 despite having Quattro. This would have been unheard of just a generation ago.

The Audi is said to be the most complete car inside and out. It feels more special inside. It has more personality. This is a major sign that times are changing as Audi and Mercedes are getting better and BMW has fallen off. A shame really, but congratulations to Audi. We eagerly anticipate the RS6.

Aaah, my wife is now a US citizen, but is a Catholic from Jakarta, Indonesia. She always had drivers in her family and no knowledge of cars or driving. She always said that she thought my Toyota 4-runner seemed to be faster than my Porsche 911 turbo. Just stability difference made the Toyota seem closer to te edge on mountain roads at half the speed. She hated the Porsche so I sold it. Her brother in Jakarta is a very successful businessman even though not graduating high school. My wife and I both graduated with BS Engineering degrees. She e-mailed her sister today to tell her we had ordered the Audi S6. Her sister e-mailed back that their brother also just bought an Audi. She said it is the small one and not so good, the R8. The photos were R8. My SIL does not realize it is a super car. I don’t know which engine, but I guess it is the V10 if I know my BIL and the BMW models he had in the past. In Jakarta it is always a traffic jam so I do not know why a fast car is any good.In the interior Java island mountain roads it would be a blast!

Do you always talk to yourself or just when you run out of FRiends...

I don’t have any FRiends. I talk to myself because it is better than talking to my libtard neighbers with their 0bama bumper stickers and block captain attitudes. But, when they get stuck in the snow they always call me to pull them out. They will be surprised when I tell them I already paid 0bama to take care of them so call him and see how that works. Or pay me back my taxes during the Zer0 regime that they voted for and I will help them. My federal taxes under Zero will hit over $300K this year and I don’t have a single .usgov care package to show for it. I am done with my idiot neighbors and bought a new car before money is worthless. The last brand new car I bought was a 1983 Mazda RX7. Though I have had some nice used cars.

My idiot neighbors are probably praying tonight “that dude who drives the old Toyota 4-Runner with over 200 k miles and who talks to hihself better help me when I drive of the road the next time. Amen Lucifer.”

Congrats on your new vehicle. Gees, I haven't even looked at FR for a week. Anyway this is our new addition that we picked up last Friday. It's a 2011 BMW 335i w/13k miles. It has ALL the goodies (premium pkg, sport pkg, convenience pkg, Harmon Kardon HD sound, 19" wheels) and it's a hard-top convertible. Has paddle shifters w/6 speed steptronic transmission. Wife bought it for me but after she drove it once she started muttering "mine" so I think this weekend we'll pick up her BMW X-1. Her's will be black also. No metallic pink in this family.
