Yoko Ono Tweets Pic Of John Lennon’s Bloody Glasses
Inquisitr ^ | March 21, 2013 | Inquisitr

Yoko Ono tweeted a photo of John Lennon’s bloody glasses this week.

Why? Well, she was celebrating her 44th wedding anniversary to the late Beatles singer.

Ono sat down to reflect about Lennon’s life and death this week and she came to the conclusion that there have been far too many gun deaths in the world in the 33 years since Lennon was assassinated.

Ono wrote on Twitter: “Over 1,057,000 people have been killed by guns in the USA since John Lennon was shot and killed on 8 Dec 1980.”

The singer / artist sent out several more messages about gun violence and how it feels to lose a loved one. Ono says that, even though Lennon was killed more than three decades ago, she still feels the pain of his absence.

Ono wrote: “The death of a loved one is a hollowing experience. After 33 years our son Sean and I still miss him. Yoko Ono Lennon.”

Along with her messages, Ono posted a sound clip of Lennon talking about a peace. (You can listen to it below.) But the most talked about item from Yoko’s anniversary tweets was a photo of John Lennon’s bloody glasses.

Just .. WEIRD

Who picked them up that night ... yoko?

If so, what was she thinking to not wash them clean?

The cops or paramedics?

And if THEY gave them to her, it was after the fact by some time ...what was she thinkiung THEN to not clean them ?

Later in life, she shows Sean and he must'a said SOMEthing ... what kind of conversation was THAT ?

I liked Lennon's partnership with McCartney and the Beatles in general ...

and to quote The Kingston Trio;

"But That Was Yesterday, And Yesterday's Done"

Imagine there’s no Yoko. It’s easy if you try.

Wow. Over one million people killed by “guns.” Does that figure include citizens killed by cops.

I'll bet it does, along with gang-on-gang shootings, takedowns by homeowners defending themselves against intruders, and suicides.

Inconvenient truths...

The only way Yoko gets that number of 1,000,000 plus is to add homicides and suicides. Murders by guns is on average around 10,000 a year. Suicide deaths (using a firearm) are around 19,000 a year.

When you consider 55,000 people are killed every year in auto accidents (and much of those by drunk driving) why not ban all cars, alcohol, knives, ropes, ???

And regarding deaths by hanging oneself, maybe we should pass laws that ropes can only hold thirty pounds of weight, or sheets that dissolve when lifted over a certain height - or make a law that no one can do “gravity violence” by picking their feet off the floor with the intent to hang themselves - ban ladders and high buildings. . . (sarc.)

Yoko’s claimed death number of 1,057,000 sounds high. Does it include self defense? Suidcides? Detroit? Assuming (incorrectly) a population of about 300M people, it would also be .0001% of the population each year.

More like 0.01%.

Regards,

One lens smudged up with “blood” and the other is pristine?

Not buying it. It’s as fake as the notion that Yoko Ono has singing talent.

re: “If so, what was she thinking to not wash them clean?”

I’m sure she considers it “art”. Next to Hillary, I know of no other woman who has cashed in on her husband’s notoriety than her. Without John Lennon, know one would give her the time of day.

Ono wrote on Twitter: “Over 1,057,000 people have been killed by guns in the USA since John Lennon was shot and killed on 8 Dec 1980.”

There have also been almost as many deaths from diabetes - so Mayor Bloomie is trying to grab our Big Gulps

There have also been more than 7,000,000 deaths from heart disease - so Mayor Bloomie is trying to regulate our meals

There have also been more than 6,000,000 deaths from cancer - and I'm sure Mayor Bloomie has a plan for that too

I find Mayor Bloomie's frequent intrusions into our private lives depressing - and there have been more than 470,000 dead due to suicide since John Lennon died. Perhaps the best thing we could do to save lives would be to remove Bloomie and other big government liberals from office?

As fate would have it, I happened to save the Newsweak copy of 8 Dec 1980. John Lennon graces the cover. It’s up for sale. Bidding opens at $150,000. Any takers?.

Agreed. Joko Oh-No should be banned from screeching. One could hardly call it singing. Actually an insult to screeching if you dig hard enough.

Of course they’re fake. Ono is an artist. They are just an art object, not an artifact.

that's a pretty stupid thing to say

you must be too young to remember The Beatles.

From a purely artistic point of view Lennon/McCartney were brilliant together. Not like the mindless drivel that came after them

It would be WORTH IT for you to peruse their entire catalog- you will be amazed by some of it (the stuff that is NOT played over and over and over especially)

Without John Lennon, know one would give her the time of day.

She'd be wiping restaurant tables or vacuuming hotel rooms somewhere. Sure as hell she wouldn't be making a living based on musical talent by ANY stretch of the imagination.

Worse, IMO

I didn't notice the one clean, one not until it was just pointed out

SOMEone stopped the cleaning or GOT stopped from cleaning.

SOMEone was an evil voice .. "WAIT! .. Those'll be worth MONEY someday"

Hmmm .. yeah, yer right ... OK

Prolly opening myself up here, but last night I mentioned to my wife that I considered Lennon/McCartney the greatest song writers of the 20th century.

Of COURSE I don't know every song writer, but of the ones I DO know (of) ... L&M

EXCEPT for the insufferable "Hey Jude" with its 16X repeated refrain.

I once made a similar statement to my father. He responded that Lennon was no prize, either.
