Mr.L: If Gov.Palin’s Big Flaw Is Resigning Then She Has No Flaws (GOPe/Rove delcares war on base)
C4P ^ | 3/21/13 | Doug Brady

Posted on 03/21/2013 3:12:45 PM PDT by Kolath

In describing his most recent segment, Mr. L wrote, “I wanna talk about this dig at Sarah Palin by Karl Rove which was in retaliation for Palin’s dig at him at CPAC. And I did have this transcribed by the way. You can find it along with this commentary at mrltavern.com. I only did this once where I cut the audio and then gave it to a friend who’s a fast keyboardist to transcribe it because I think this topic is important to be in both the spoken and the written word. I wanna talk about the concept of resignation and Sarah Palin’s resignation…..”

In some salient quotes from the transcript, Mr. L spoke about Gov. Palin declaring war on the Rove / establishment wing of the Republican Party and how he would rather be in the fox hole with Gov. Palin than 25 people like Rove:

Someone should do a comparison of MSM news articles about Palin both Pre and Post August 2008....

It would be interesting to see some writers contradict their own earlier writings about Palin because they had to support the “won” and alinsky the “Hockey Mom from Wasilla”

So Rove takes on Governor Palin for quiting, but, how many times has Rove quit on his wives, you know, those people you are supposed to love and cherish to death due you part, for better or worse.

Which do you think is worse?

Rove is just jealous that the candidates he endorsed lost while almost all of Sarah Palin’s endorsements won..but I think this hate on Sarah goes FAR beyond just hating on Palin, Rove wants to destroy the Conservative movement..he worked his ass off to destroy Christine O’Donnell and Sharon Angle, he loves “moderates” which to him are Democrat-lites who he agrees with politically

Now now SCP, It’s conservative when a RINO does such things. And if you don’t embrace that and back it to the hilt, you hate your country, want Democrats elected and are a traitor.

Can’t you just feel the ‘righteous anger’ flow?

Rove is like a number of old pols. At some point their careers take precedence over their principles. All that is left is to win and leave a legacy. It is the very definition of RINO: stay in power, keep power, maintain power, and say anything to make these happen. Palin didn’t make a mistake, but she does suffer fools who can’t comprehend a servant’s heart.

FNC should have gotten rid of Tokyo Rove when they got rid of the Toe Sucker Dick Morris.

Rove is evil incarnate; a vicious attacker of conservatives
for his Romney/Obama/Soros agendae.

I have a question. Is the Tea Party a separate party from the Republican Party?

A lot of Rove’s problem is that he is in politics for ego and power, Palin drives him nuts on that score, not just because he opposes her politics.

“His brain has turned to dough, like the rest of him.”

I suspect both the Democrat and Republican establishment have conducted polls and focus groups regarding Sarah Palin resigning from her position as Governor of Alaska before her term ended. Likely the results show this action is her strongest negative with a majority of the electorate. While many conservatives understand the rationale for her resignation due to the distraction of hundreds of frivolous and financially ruinous lawsuits, the average voter expects and wants a President to stand tall under fire. Plus, culturally (as George C. Scott said in the Patton movie) Americans hate to lose and hate quitters. Rove is using ammunition the Democrats and media will pound her with every day if she ever runs for public office again. It may not be fair, but politics is a blood sport.

If Palin hopes to ever be President she needs to come out swinging with an answer that the American people will buy. Like it or not it is a legitimate issue. It is unfortunate Rove is using it to bring down a member of his own party, but Sarah declared war on Rove and the establishment so she should expect them to fire back with as good as they’ve got.

For a conservative to win the Presidency and be an effective leader she or he has to have skin of iron and the ability to stand tall under worse fire than Karl Rove is able to muster. If she had presidential ambitions at the time she resigned, resignation was a stupid move and her public rationale does not make the average voter perceive she won’t do the same again when entrusted with the highest office of the land.

Where have you been the last 4 years?

You say:

1. ...Sarah declared war on Rove and the establishment so she should expect them to fire back with as good as they’ve got.

and

2. ...she or he has to have skin of iron and the ability to stand tall under worse fire than Karl Rove is able to muster.

Reality:

Sarah was going along with the establishment when she signed on with McCain. While she single handedly tried to drag his tired rear end across the finish line, those same establishment elites were doing everything they could to sabotage her. So who declared war on whom?

Sarah Palin has had to put up with more garbage than any other candidate running, not just from the democrats, but from her own party. These same establishment idiots attack her regularly for the silliest things imaginable. Establishment/elitists work for and along with the democrats. They hate everything conservative and will go as far as undermining their own party by their support for allowing illegals into this country to vote in order to weaken the influence of conservatives in this country.

As for her resignation, if that is the only problem they have to hammer her with, they have already been defeated. She saved Alaska multiple dollars and hours of wasted effort, something no RINO, establishment/elite type, or democrat could ever understand. But “We the People” do understand it and are thankful for it.

I seriously doubt she will run for President. She has a role to fill as an outsider who can quickly deflate Beltway pomposity.
