The West Wing of the White House is all-but disappearing behind an $86 million building project that is going to last for years. In recent weeks, an expanding and sometimes ear-splitting zone of excavation has enveloped the mansion's famous office wing.

They are too busy harrassing businesses in cities to worry about old duffers like me.
But the locals here are not easily intimidated. The sheriff, police and county judge are friends of mine. Families here have known each other for generations.
Long and short, I don’t feel threatened. But I am also not interested in digging a basement. My house is big enough now.
Has any one considered hooking up a couple of outboard motors around Dover way and moving Britain closer to Ireland? Just curious.

When has it ever not been the case that a sovereign body of government did not have supreme rights under God to your land? In Pennsylvania, the State is sovereign, and you contract with them to maintain possession — to receive a deed to the land.
Is there somewhere that individuals are “sovereign”? Has there ever been such a place?

sure, before the tower of babel and the split of peoples into different nations. essentially before formal governments.
mind you this is monarch/socialist britain, where historically most people had no rights to land. this particular area is so developed the only way to go to expand your property is down. up is almost impossible via permits amd then being taxed out the a$$.
so one guy doesn’t know how to do it and that means nobody can?
