I wish I were on that jury. He’d get twice what he’s asking. What a bunch of worthless misfits these union cops are! Chicago would be far better off if all the police were fired and everyone was required to own at least one gun for their own protection.

(This is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion or satire; or both)

Abdelal seeks punitive damages of more than $10 million. If I were judge, and all of this were substantiated, and I had the power, he would get every last damn possession belonging to these police officers, and 20% of their paychecks from the Chicago Transit Authority for the next 20 years.
To: Altariel
And anyone who helped cover it up would get much the same.
To: Altariel
Begins to sound as though being an incompetent, corrupt, and ignorant dickhead is endemic to Chicago officials - and those who hearken from there.
To: Altariel
I’m more concerned bout big city police officers with guns than criminals or law abiding citizens. These Depts. have a history of firing dozens of rounds at innocent people for no reason.

Makes you wonder how many times they’d have shot the right guy.

Looks like we need to look at magazine bans for cops too.
Give ‘em ONE bullet, to be kept in their shirt pocket, Like Barney Fife.

I'm usually very pro-law enforcement, but these stories are becoming common.
C'mon cops! First the ladies delivering newspapers, now this.
It's getting so that I'm almost GLAD that cops are such bad shots.

The clerk had a gun. Isn’t that illegal in Chicago? So, in their minds, they DID shoot the right guy.

I gave-up on that point; too many other confusing non-facts to toy with in this mess.
