Well, surely you can understand that -- as a Christian -- I attempt to take my cultural cues from a certain "Lord" named Jesus Christ? So, who am I to follow when it comes to setting cultural priorities? Jesus and the apostle Paul? or a Jew named Golux?
Here's Jesus:
"I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him." (Luke 12:4-5)
So does Jesus say, "fear the Islamic terrorists?" (No)
Does Jesus say fear the original slave traders?(No)
Instead, does He say to exercise fear of the One who has authority to cast somebody into hell? (Yes)
So, indeed, our "fear" is on behalf of those who are placing their eternal spiritual lives at risk.
Oh. And one other thing. Unlike a lot of ADD/ADHD posters these days, we are able to multi-task.
(I fear what might have happened had our ADD generation had to take on both the Japanese & Germans on multiple frontlines)
I don’t mean this as a personal attack, for I think it is truly an astonishing achievement:
After a review of your posting history on FR I see you successfully and consistently manage, with only a few carefully misplaced words and ideas (supported by quotes,) to actually subtract, little by little, from the sum total of human knowledge.
(Well, that’s what happens when you wind up quoting Mormon authorities left & right...)

That was yet another of the reasons why I refused to vote for Romney. The LDS and Mittens are such an easy target that their corruption would bring shame to all Christendom, causing even more intense ignorance over what the Bible actually teaches as well.
There is a "new" topic at hand, raised by golux. If anything follows from that...then golux shares most of the responsibility, for making vague, unsupported assertions coupled with personal insult (that pretended to not be personal insult).

Having read much of the Book of Mormon (all I could take, really - Alma and one or two others) the sheer insanity of the faith (and its recency - hey at least we can disprove stuff that happened less that 2000 years ago) led me to believe that Mitt’s foundation was rotten, or would at least be hammered. Yet, you WILL have a Mormon president, and much sooner than a Jew.
